Virginia Tech's locker room will now be known as The Frank Beamer Locker Room.
"The heart and soul of Virginia Tech football resides within the young men who will use this locker room," Beamer said in a release. "The locker room is a place where lifelong friendships form and teams grow stronger together. While this space will always belong to our student-athletes and Hokie Nation, if my name helps remind our student-athletes to give that extra effort on the field, study a little longer or do a good turn for a fellow Hokie, then I'm all for it."
Beamer neglected to add it's a place for legendary coaches to dance.

Whoever is at VT working on hologram technology needs to get after it. We need this to be part of the pre-game warmups.
I thought I had a real shot at this honor. Maybe the next one.
I'm sure for a nominal donation amount, they could have your name dedicated on a laundry bin.
I'm saving up for the towel rack.
Animatronic "Dancin' Beamer" is a must add.

Is this the one located
blacksburgBeamerburg?Locker room is nice, but I think we all agree he deserves more. I'm still pushing for the new tradition of 'The Beamer Walk' down Beamer way.
The 'Frank Beamer Tunnel' between the locker room and Lane?
Also a good idea - but I'd like something the fans can experience too.
"Alright, boys. We're gonna do our Beamer Chant and then head out of the Beamer Barn to do the Beamer Walk down Beamer Way until we get to the Beamer Gates and head into the Beamer Tunnel before we do the Beamer Jump to Enter Beamer."
We need to save something for Fuente, when he wins the National Championship.
The Fuente Championship Trophy Fountain, of course. Make him work for it.
I know that the athletics department owes Wes Worsham a debt of gratitude for all he has done, but I think it would be a wonderful gesture if Wes recommended renaming the playing surface in Lane Stadium to "Beamer Field." I just think it's appropriate that we play football on a field named after the man who built the program into a powerhouse.
I just love that guy. Strong enough to win in a very tough game, but as decent a human being as you'll ever find.
