I'm...not happy about this. Still, I hope Jalen finds success out there. He has some crazy potential to be a very good player. Just hope he doesn't do it against us.
As frustrating as he was in terms of consistency (or lack thereof) I still think this will hurt. I was looking forward to seeing if he could channel his inner Tyrone at all times. If he can, some team is going to get a hell of a player. Hope Buzz can bring in Holden and maybe another big guy for next year.
Honestly not shocked by this. I heard from #sources about a month back that he might consider transferring. He's a really talented player, but he probably saw a lack of playing time with Hill coming back and possibly Outlaw as well. I wish him nothing but the best, and this means that Buzz is going to search the open market even more than expected.
I'm going to miss him and his patchy beard. He was the nicest kid and has the talent to be a tremendous player. I wish him all the best.

Man, I'm so tired of seeing Hokie basketball players transfer every year. How many bball players have transferred out of Blacksburg over the last decade? It's felt like a ton.
Well, when Buzz took over it wasn't a bad thing that a ton of players transferred out (not the case with Hudson), but transfers were obviously very common (and annoying) during the Greenberg era.
Happening EVERYWHERE. UVA lost at least as many in Bennett's first couple years, and a record number of transfers happened last year around the country and that record likely will be broken this year. Most coaches play 8-9 player rotations, and there are 12 scholarships...D1 guys all think they're the best because their AAU coaches and/or family handlers have told them so.
I'm paraphrasing here but a few years ago Rick Pitino was asked about the changes he's seen in the college game and he said the biggest was every...EVERY...player thinks he is going to the NBA now.
