Really his only chance to be the backup is because he is getting paid so little, not that the other backups for NY are making a lot, and it's a salary cap decision because Eli rarely misses games anyway

He ain't going to be the backup. Nassib is the solid backup. Might be a PS player that could be groomed to be the backup. As of right now I don't even see him more then camp fodder.
Nassib's contract is up next year, so maybe he sticks on the team somewhere (PS) and wins backup duty next year.

It's to keep teams from low paying talent to bring them along in their system and to keep new players constantly coming into the league. Honestly if like to see the NFL expand he roster size by 3-5 players.

I like his chances given the history of LT's in NYC.
As a Redskins fan, I'm thankful that the Giants picked up Logan. Hopefully as a QB.

I would think LT has little, if any, practice squad eligibility left.
I think he has one year of practice Squad Time remaining (he was active for first year) as you are allowed 3
