Tyrod Taylor's Camry Commercials

Is this his first big time endorsement? I've never seen him in a national TV ad before.

That is funny.

This is going to be great for the ACC.

The corny is strong with these ads

"When I was growing up, Virginia Tech was a school that was kicking ass and taking names, and it's time we get back to that" - James Franklin

Yep. Glad to see Tyrod getting paid, but these are cheesy AF.

If you play it, they will win.

"How the ass pocket will be used, I do not know. Alls I know is, the ass pocket will be used." -The BoD

A lot of recent Camry ones are. And it is by design.

I'd assume these are regional commercials. Cool gig though!

Pour some Beer on it

It's actually national commercials. Saw one of them on BET during the BET awards.

Awful. Just awful. Feel great that Tyrod is getting his due.

One of the most exciting players advertising one of the most boring cars

West Virginian by birth, Hokie by choice

Tyrod is reliable. Dependable. Family-friendly. And will last 250k miles.

And will last 250k miles.

Too bad he used so many miles running back and forth due to woeful o-line play.

A decade on TKP and it's been time well spent.

Happy as hell for my boy Tyrod

But the cringe level is over 9000

No way a Camry runs a good route.

No, I *don't* want to go to the SEC. Why do you ask?

We don't love dem Hoos.

Hey I drive a Camry too. Me and Tyrod are so much alike. We're practically the same person, probably.

You're a horse, not a person.

Outspoken team cake advocate. Hates terrapins. Resident Macho Man Gif Poster. Distant cousin to Dork Magic. Frequently misspells words.

Your treadmill's name is Camry?

"Exit light..."

Fun fact: Camrys have Tyrods.

We put the K in Kwality

oh...so we're gonna do this again, huh?

Onward and upward

Toyota Camry, Taylor made for you.

I saw Logan Thomas doing ads for a bus pass.

Well, I saw him at a bus stop.

Maybe Logan Thomas was just taking the bus....sad.

The Dude Abides

Logan Thomas, environmentalist.

In Tyrod's next commercial, he throws a flanker screen to promote the new Prius. :)

All of a sudden, I found myself in love with the world
So there was only one thing that I could do
Was ding a ding, dang my dang a long ling long....

I cannot stop laughing about how awful these were!

Best duos in Hokie history: Hall & Adibi, 3rd & Tyrod, Georgia & Liz

I am not afraid to admit I loved every one of these and don't find them nearly as corny as all you had me scared they'd be. Those were great hahaha

...what did I just watch?

Anybody else take note of the fact that the Camry is maroon?

it's red

Onward and upward

Well... I've always considered Toyota's dark red to be maroon. Rarely going to find the exact color... I've got three toyotas that are all some shade close to maroon. As far as I'm concerned, they are all maroon (especially when I add some orange highlights & take them to football games).

Did anyone else think that the barbershop one was going to be a fade route?

"Ok Tyrod, you just throw the ball as far as you can and we will film it from three different angles in this empty parking lot!"-director

"What's that have to do with the Camry?"-Tyrod

"Don't worry about all that, the cars not important, the guy in the bubble vest will do all the work"-director

"Welcome to the Terror Dome." -- Corey Moore

What, they couldn't have him reenact this while driving a camry?

Nice but where is the T-mobile Endorsement?

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
“I served in the United States Navy"

I hope he makes a killing with money off endorsements as he is being criminally underpaid at the moment for the level of play he has given.

Here's the actual lead-in commercial to the four posted up top:

context is good to know

Now this spot is actually pretty good... much better.
