OT (ish?) Josh Jackson's cousin one of the police officers killed in Baton Rouge.

I am not sure if this is touching on the no current events rule and I wouldn't normally post this but Josh Jackson's cousin was one of the police officers kill in Baton Rouge today. Prayers to the family today.

Simply nonsense. Sad that anybody had to die, but even sadder to know it was Jackson's relative.

I was going to post something about this, but decided against it... I'm glad that someone felt bold enough to post it.

I don't want to go into the politics, but it is even more painful when something like this hits so close to home. Thoughts and prayers to him and his family.

Yeah, I was kind of on the fence but after seeing it directly affect one of our players, I thought maybe we should all know. But if it devolves into a politics thread, I will really regret it.

I'm not an overly emotional person, but the picture of Montrell and his son hit me all in the feels. May he and the other 2 cops rest in peace. Thoughts and condolences to the Jackson family and the other 2 families as well.

In Sam Rogers we trust.

Nothing wrong with offering prayers and support for our Hokies I feel it would be more messed up for our community not to acknowledge this and turn a blind eye to it. It's real to Josh and the least we can do is pray for him and his family and wish them well.

FIRST DOWN, HOKIES!

Other than in all out war or extreme self defense, violence is seldom the answer to whatever the problem may be.

I really hope that the murdering of a police officer presented as bad news isn't considered too much of a controversy to be mentioned to hokie nation.

Condolences to Jackson and his family. What a terrible tragedy.
