The ND ticket office put single-game tickets on sale at 6pm this evening. They are still available.
VT tickets are $85 each and parking is also available starting at $30.

Tried to buy a parking pass and got an error at checkout. I will try again later.
Same happened to me on tickets and got way worse seats when I attempted again. I got a weird confirmation email with an order number, but no seats. Will call about them to tomorrow.
Looks like I got the parking pass.
Check your confirmation emails. I received a confirmation number with no tickets on it. Called them today and turns out the sale (and better seats) went through. Ended up cancelling the second order I placed.

Anyone have advice on how to handle hokie club ticket orders and general public sales? I put in an order through HC but have no idea if I'll get any until these probably sell out. Does it seem likely that we'll use up our own allocation pretty quickly for a game like Notre Dame?
I know that a lot of HC members did not get tickets in 2014 to OSU because they were gobbled up by the high ranking HC members. Since we've never played at ND before, I would expect it to be similar this time around (though I have no idea how many tickets ND allocates for visitors vs OSU).
To be safe, I went ahead and bought from ND, even though I did request from VT's ticket office. I figure I can resell any extras that I have.
I ended up doing the same, seems the safest route, shouldn't be difficult at all to sell those later.
I'll be in South Bend! May be my only game for the season. Dad is a ND grad so I'll be up with my two brothers (both Hokies) for a little family brawl.
How cold are we talking as far as weather is concerned?

I was fortunate enough to get tickets and a parking pass for free since my older sister married a Notre Dame fan about a year ago and they recently moved up to South Bend since he was offered the head coaching job for ND crew
My brother-in-law is giving us his tickets. He teaches at OSU.
The last time he offered us seats to a game we had a wonderful time (actually my fiance was very sad but she had a fantastic January).
Come to think of it he gave me his Browns vs. Steelers tickets a couple years ago and the Browns won that game... Dude...

I don't understand any of it. The process to get season tickets at ND makes it appear nearly impossible to get them.

So, this is right before ND's break so students are leaving that time of year in droves for Thanksgiving. In addition, ND is a great program (in my eyes) but it has one of the shittiest game day atmospheres I've seen. It's tons of alum who only come in for a game or two a season and sit all game long politely clapping. It's like UVA without the condescension. Plus, November 19th in South Bend is going to be cold as balls. People just don't turn out. There is a decent likelihood that the stadium could be half maroon and orange as we all see this as one of our biggest games of the year and ND sees it as another game.
I'm so excited.
That would be cool to have the stadium half full of Hokie fans, and hear the "Let's Go, Hokies!" chant during the Notre Dame Broadcasting Company (NBC) broadcast, as we're cruising to a 47-29 win!
You may have had your own experience (what year did you go?), but my experience at ND was in 2009 for their win over Washington when UW had Jake Locker. The place was bananas all day long. The crowd was loud the entire game and the student section was f-ing lit. And it was pouring for about 80% of the game. Every stadium has it's own character, and I loved how the entire crowd participated with the band's cadences and cheers for the ENTIRE game. I don't think ND is hardly the wine and cheese crowd (a la UVA) as you depict (from my experience).
VT isn't a, say, Nevada rolling in. Especially if VT gets rolling like everyone hopes. It's also ND's final home game and Senior day and if they're in a position for any playoff picture or NY game, they're not going to be looking at this game as 'just another game'. I have faith in traveling Hokies, as I am making the trek as well (wife got us tix for my bday), but personally I think it's pretty silly to think the place might be 1/2 maroon and orange with the other half being a bunch of old farts golf clapping, regardless of the time of the year.

I've never been but I'm working on finding a B&BOnATreadmill...emailed one that is a mile from ND stadium so if all goes well Horse&DadOnTreadmills will be walking to the stadium. About $450 total for a 2-night requirement
Chicago is closer than Indy, so that's another option.
We booked a room near the Indiana Dunes, where we stop every time we drive through. This will be the first time to South Bend for us, too.

I am flying to Chicago and then plan on driving over. I like the train idea. If I am reading the schedule correctly, the Westbound train leaves South Bend at 10:16 P.M. Is that how you read the schedule?
The weekend schedule looks like 8:14 pm, 9:53 pm and 12:46 am I think. But it's not really good layout on the website.
I hope for your sake that South Bend is nicer than the rest of northern Indiana, cause last time I went through that area, it was a real shithole. Reminded me of armpit, northern NJ.

From what I understand, the visitor tickets are allotted in the south endzone, towards the SE corner. Don't quote me on the exact section numbers but I believe it's in 114-120. I believe some are allotted in the lower level, as well, same corner.
I went to Stanford-Notre Dame in 2010 and the area you described was mostly Stanford fans, so I think you are correct.
Looking at pictures, it looks like the usual visitor section is 117-120 (upper level) and if there is enough interest, they put them in the same area of the lower bowl as well.

I got 8 through Norte dame, and they are lower level and appear to better than what hokie club members will get. I suggest buying from Norte dame.
I went to ND website and the seats all looked like Endzone seats.
In case you didn't see it, it took me a minute to see that the stadium view is highly interactive. I zoomed in to some upper sections around the 40 and found two seats I should be happy with

That's the way to go. We had a wedding to go to in Chicago. Hotels were $150/room/night. We got 5 people in an airb&b apartment for $90 a night.

I got two single seat tickets this past Thursday, luckily the seats are one in front of the other. There are only single seats available. I am still waiting to hear if I got tickets through VT. but at least I know I am in the stadium.
