I was 8 years old at the time and didn't quite understand the magnitude of how awful he was that game. After reading an article about that game when I was older, though, I thought the same thing.

I do pray for him because to stay in trouble like this makes me wonder about his mental state, something is not right, something is missing. To stay in trouble like he does and put everything on twitter, he needs help and I pray he seeks it. He could one day get straight and reach out to "at risk" young men and use his life as an example, but with all of these issues it'd take a long time if ever for anyone to let him talk to young men who could relate to him and I doubt he'd want to help them out anyways unfortunately. He is human and has brought everything on himself and deserves the consequences, I feel bad because he has kids and he should be a lot better just for their sake and that makes me think what is his process of thinking or lack thereof.

I think it messes with your head if you go from being broke to being loaded (literally) overnight, without doing any work yourself. Couple that with everyone around you (coaches, family, peers, recruiters, etc) singing your praise. Definitely gives you a distorted outlook on life...

That is why I teach my kids that as much as we make our choices in life, our choices make us. Though we judge ourselves by our intentions (and really only our good intensions) others judge us by what we do.Trust can be lost in an instance, but it takes a long time to get back. Do on to others that which you would want done to you.

What bothers me & continues to bother me is that he continues to get celebrity justice. He shoves the LEOs (technically assaulting an officer), he evades arrest and then taking into consideration all the previous offenses he's committed, they convict him and suspend 11/12ths of his sentence. I'm not saying he should get 5 years for this offense but damn it, make him serve the 12 months.

Nope - only held in Ho Chi Minh City that one year and in 2006 moved to India. Was in Mumbai for a couple years, then was to move to Bangalore in 2008, only to be suspended for security reasons before it could be held. In 2009 the Malaysian Open was created to replace it.

you know how you look at professional athletes or CEOs your age and think "man, how is it I've done so little with my life in my time on earth?" Marcus is the counterpoint. Raised self esteem all around!!!

Everytime I see something about him, I just think of all that talent squandered. I remember when we were recruiting him, and all the talk was how he will exceed Mike.
Such as shame.

he still has it! over the first 40 yards or so, at least
Worst Hokie Ever
Deleted.
I'm keeping it in a sports frame dude
Touche. Just saying.
I really wish we wouldn't trivialize this as a way to compare Marcus.
Ugh, brutal. Suggest edit.
EDIT: Legged for editing. Thanks.
Delete. Step away from the flask, bro.
Are you serious right now?
Proud of that officer, keeping in shape keeps him and brothers alive.
Assume you mean your brothers in blue and not Michael
TMZ said "shoved 2 cops out of the way, BREAKING TACKLES "and I just busted out laughing.
I mean it could have been worse. At least he didn't stomp on one of the officers, right?
It amazes how some fans (and I use that term loosely) seem to take some sort of perverse joy in this stuff.
Caught him from behind like they were Miami
Always wondered if he thru that Miami game. No way i could have thought he played that bad

Coincidentally the same number of turnovers we had in that game.
You read that correctly, eight turnovers.
I may be wrong, but didn't he have somewhere in the neighborhood of 4 fumbles and 2 ints?
His twitter page had me dying earlier ranting about herpes and his babymama, he spends a lot of time on there!

Just keep in mind we're talking about a guy who scored an 11 on the Wonderlic.
A score of 10+ suggests the person is literate.

His twitter is AMAZING.
Then I saw this on Facebook that made this post make sense:
Those colored sleeve Nike shirts were so awesome
Ugly. You mispelled ugly.
I wish they would stop showing him in a VT uniform.
Well, when it's the last productive, successful thing you've had your name attached to...
he spends a lot of time on there
I assume you mean twitter, to hear him tell it Shady is spending the time on his baby mama
Who is Marcus Vick?

Society would be better off if he got 5 years
That's the effect of "good" lawyers and a messed up justice system.
What's really sad is that I had to triple check the date of this thread to see if this was about the last time he did it, or a new one.
Too bad he didn't use/display that evasiveness against da U or halFaSsU, amirite?
I guess this doesn't apply to Marcus on this occasion...
He's got getting away from the cops speed!
Liked the link to Fam Guy comic con clips. But whoa!!!
For our WVU game next year, can Marcus be the Honorary Coin Flipper?
Flipping a large coin with one finger takes skill.
Worst ever waste of talent in the history of Hokiedom. Ever.
Their fans earned that middle finger that day
And even THAT is too good for them.
They earn it EVERY day...
Side note: What is this Vietnam Open and is it still a thing?
Nope - only held in Ho Chi Minh City that one year and in 2006 moved to India. Was in Mumbai for a couple years, then was to move to Bangalore in 2008, only to be suspended for security reasons before it could be held. In 2009 the Malaysian Open was created to replace it.
I was really hoping it was still around and it could somehow make this a reality.
Arm tackle...the cop needs to get his head and shoulder in front to cut down on the yards after contact

It seemed like he might be that good for a while. Was just sad when he fell apart.
His post-George Zimmerman verdict tweets will go down as some of the greatest tweets in history. Pure gold.
So much wasted talent. He could have been better than his brother if he wasn't such a dumbass. Those whatifs will get after ya
