Got a chance to see the new coach on the TV, and maybe 'puter. It looks like the best time would be to catch him on Sportscenter at 12:20, and maybe ESPNU at 1:20. Most of the rest of the schedule looks like taping or internet stuff. There is a College Football Live on the schedule for 1:30 on ESPN, so perhaps that is where the 10:15 taping will land?

Having a great summer thus far and having a lot of work left to do are not necessarily mutually exclusive. He could very well be excited by the potential but more work is needed to adapt to the system being installed.
to expand on this point....he could be trying to terminate complacency and if he's outwardly never satisfied that will just continuously push everyone to get better. Could be a motivational ploy, is what I'm sayin'
If McMillian is at least as good as last year, but more work needs to be done, sounds like he is expecting something huge out of his offense.

I would agree that the RB spot as a whole has a lot of work to do. Memphis used 3-4 rb's and they all produced. VT has McMillian and then possibly Sam then unknowns in Shai, Williams, McClease, Fox and Reid..
I think Shai is going to have a good year.

Watched both CFB Lives that were marked as "new" (Tuesday 1:30 & 4:00) they had Richt & Jimbo but no Fuente.

Fuente was also on with Rocky Top Insider yesterday. They do a short interview and then take a look at the work he's done with QB's in the past. Evans' potential scares them a bit for the Battle at Bristol game. VT stuff starts around the 29 min mark.

This is how I imagined the one guy's face who kept saying he didn't like that we have Evans while watching his highlights:
He definitely sounded worried and hearing Cam Newton's name mentioned got me hype as well. Those guys were good to point out that they weren't saying Evans is as good or will be as good as Cam, but it definitely doesn't hurt to have a slight comparison. September can't get here soon enough.
definitely don't count on the second coming of Cam Newton. He, like Vick, is a very rare specimen. Vick was once-in-a-lifetime rare. Cam may not be quite that but he's certainly once-in-a-generation rare. I doubt very seriously if Evans will even come close to being as good as Cam. Would love to see it. Don't think its fair to expect, though. I think it is more realistic to expect some early hiccups in his career. I think our offense will be better this year but it will have growing pains and there will be some ugly performances.
Another thing they mentioned is that Evans could come out and throw 4 picks to UT and then go on to win 10 games. With our schedule that's not a completely unreasonable expectation. I doubt 10 wins is in the cards for us this year though. I wouldn't be surprised to see at least one pick and at least one fumble lost from Evans against UT. And I'm certain he'll improve over the course of the season and help this team get 7 or 8 wins.
I don't disagree with your assessment at all and I also heard the comment about 4 picks and going on to win 10 games. I'm just hoping he doesn't have the 4 picks and still goes on to win 10 games. I definitely don't expect Evans to put up Cam level numbers or live up to Cam type expectations. I'm just really excited we finally have some offensive minded coaches that really know how to influence a defense to make some mistakes and keep them on their toes.

Justin Fuente is a "classy Lane Kiffin." Not sure how I feel about that. If you mean "young guy with energy - not a running joke", then maybe.
Every few minutes I'm about to turn off the pod cast, then they drop another "Jerrod Evans really scares me" and I have to keep listening.

I like Fuente a lot, but the one thing that stands out to me in watching the car wash interviews (among others) is that he is so soft spoken it's frequently hard to make out what he's saying. He needs to learn to speak a little louder.
That is the most deserved criticism of him I have heard so far.
The crazy thing about it though is his personality seems to change dramatically when he's on the field. I remember in the Spring when the Snapchat started to post videos from practice we were all surprised at just how loud, vocal, and involved he was.
I'm just a little sad about the "no dancing" thing. Maybe winning the natty will make him bust a move.
If I can be half the proud father Coach Fuente is, I'll be doing alright. He and Jenny seem to have done a great job raising those girls.
A lot of good parenting comes down to putting your kids in a situation to succeed. Like relocating to Blacksburg. Great parenting move there, coach. I wholeheartedly approve.
