Any lawyers around? I am honestly curious to see if this has any real implications. As this is not the legal name for VT, does this mean VT legally doesn't get the stated rights and license, or otherwise cannot enforce it? Or is this basically a non-issue (outside the obvious facepalm) because of the fact that it is generally understood to refer to VT?

Sounds basically like "we can do whatever we want and you have no say or rights whatsoever" type one-sided and totally tone-deaf document. I wonder if they require us to give them our first born child anywhere in the small print.

The printing firm at the top of ticket is in Arkansas. I'm guessing the info came from BMS, straight outta Tennessee. I take it as a cheap jab.
As much as I dislike UT, the animosity for the Vols is growing daily. I've already had "go Vols" comments on my fb post of my Bristol tickets. So ready to get this game started.

I'd say it doesn't really matter too much. It's more for notice purposes and nobody is confusing Virginia Tech University with anything other than Virginia Tech.
This is all typical language for event tickets (which are considered licenses). The whole VTU thing seems like an oversight or maybe a jab by whoever printed it.

I ordered 4 tickets on June 23 through Ticketmaster. My order confirmation e-mail said to allow 10-14 days for delivery through USPS. Still haven't received them (5 weeks later), so I finally today called Ticketmaster. They said they were mailed (to my correct mailing address) on June 29 and should have arrived by mid-July. I'm telling you, there's no way I missed those tickets in the mail.
And, here's the really odd thing. Same thing happened to my buddy. He and I each ordered 4 tickets on the same day - June 23. He also never received them in the mail.
It just seems very fishy to me.
Anyway -- Ticketmaster canceled the barcodes on those first 4, and I've arranged a different way to get the tickets from Ticketmaster.

That's exactly right. Also, I was told on the phone that the only options for these tickets were (1) mailing through USPS or (2) Will Call pickup. For some reason, they didn't allow a digital/e-ticket option.

There's a reason for that. They want everyone to wear their tickets on the lanyards as an extra security measure. You wouldn't be able to do that with a printed paper ticket.

No one received any physical tickets until last week. Those tickets, in my opinion, may be false. What others have posted is accurate. The tickets are laminated and won't be in a digital, print-ready format. Which is part marketing/keepsake and part security. I think BMS did this right.

The tickets aren't fake. I bought them through Ticketmaster and talked to them today. They confirmed my order. It's just odd that the initial delivery didn't arrive at my house. They are re-shipping and I should receive them soon.

After talking with Ticketmaster and canceling the barcodes associated with the previous 4 tickets that never arrived, they rushed these to my house today.
Very excited to make the trip, do some tailgating, and watch Hokie football!

I live in Nashville, which is definitely UT country. I don't put it past the mail-man to have slipped these into his pocket.
