Great profile of Beamer by Tim Brando

Very impressive piece. Even some things I was not aware of, like Frank's story of how he got offered a VT scholarship.

That was nice. Thank you for sharing!

Onward and upward

I literally almost cried in the first few minutes. Man I thought I was past this. Good stuff.

Using /s is for cowards.

Feels.

I've heard or read most of this, but haven't seen anything this complete, with film, locations, face to face interview, narration. There is always more (I thought '95 Sugar might get a mention), but I feel this is actually the right length.

I never had a tie to university life in my youth. Moving to Virginia 25 years ago and becoming a Hokie fan, I have witnessed Franks journey and the success of the football program. Some of the best times I have had in my life have been in that stadium. SCHokies2011 says he almost cried. I got this damn lump in my throat and watery eyes and just damned grateful to have been a part of this. Now a new chapter opens and I can't wait to see it play out. God Bless Va Tech!!

That was great. I saw this posted this morning and have been looking forward to watching it all day, and it didn't disappoint.

One thing that stuck out to me was at the beginning, he talks about how fortunate he feels to be associated with the players. I'd be willing to bet that every single one of those guys who played for him would say that he got it backwards, and they're the ones who are fortunate to be associated with Frank Beamer.

Thanks for posting! Loved watching this.

That was outstanding!

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.

Anyone know what happened to the link, or where this video can be seen now? Seems to have been removed from YouTube.

It was marked private for some reason. I wonder if it is because this episode has not aired in all markets yet. It doesn't air in DC until 8/6

Hopefully, they make it public again afterward.

As my wife (didn't go to VT but is a fan through me) said at the end "such a good guy"
