The Hays Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying a woman who claims she doesn't know her own name.
A good Samaritan found the woman around 7:20 a.m. Friday walking on westbound I-70 near mile marker 171, about 14 miles east of Hays. The department said she had been in the Hays area Thursday evening.
UPDATE: The female has been identified, the Hays Police Department wanted to thank everyone who sent them tips.

If she is 25 as the article claims, and she was a VT student, she probably started college about 7 years ago, when she was around 18. So if she started college 7 +- years ago, she would have graduated 3 +- years ago with a 4 year degree. This would mean after the Spring semester 2013. Any recent grads in that class around here?
From the looks of the picture, it must have been a hell of a tailgate party.
I started at VT in Fall of '68 and ended up graduating Dec of '75. One of my friends took ten years to complete his matriculation. It is really hard to predict what class she was in, if things are as said. Hope someone can help, though.
Our stays overlapped. Didn't really want to leave school, but graduated on time .... how dumb is that ?
Also, wearing a VT hoodie doesn't mean she was ever a student there, though it may help someone identify her.

Uh, I spent 3 years at ME and then changed over to interiors. I was there for almost 7 years. In fact, I rather enjoyed the lengthy stay.
No doc or shark here. I was soooo smart that I flunked out after first quarter sophomore year. During the Vietnam war. During the years of the draft lottery. My number was 121, and they got there quickly. On the positive side of the equation, I was able to eventually graduate without debt thanks to Uncle Sam's assistance.

I volunteered during "time of peace" for a relatively safe job on an aircraft carrier, after failing out of JMU. The day I graduated boot camp the USS Cole was attacked, and a year later was 9/11.
My biggest fear has been getting kidnapped on a port call. I genuinely feel any of my experiences pale in comparison to those guys placed in the line of fire in the jungle, with little or no choice, or sitting at home waiting for their number to be up.
And thank you for yours. I am from a military family, Mom and Dad both served, Dad did 20 years and a couple of wars, and I was born on the Naval Academy. I, on the other hand, was lucky enough to escape the jungle for a job in a NATO HQ in Germany, but I knew several that did fight, and lost a couple of acquaintances. My biggest fear when I was in was that they would suddenly see fit to ship me to the fray. Unlikely, but when you are in the Army, they can do what they will with you. I sure was glad to get back to school and while I didn't excel, I was never again about to flunk out. My priorities were somewhat rearranged by the real world and I wanted to postpone my return to it as long as possible.
More or less the same reason I don't profess to be a Viet Nam vet. I did serve in the Navy, in the Gulf of Tonkin, away from the death of my brothers in arms.
Love, honor and support those VETS that have been injured in the face of fire.
Yeah, I even shy away from calling myself a "Vietnam Era" vet. While true, it just doesn't feel right when so many had so much more to face than we who were fortunate enough to serve without fighting.

Obstructing a law enforcement officer (for pretending not to remember who she was and providing false names/info).
