Bet they had a hard time deciding in VA...

it's ODU......obviously /s
Interesting that they went with Marshall over West Virginia.
Oh that is PRICELESS! Although I would too.
I mean, real hard decision there. There's only one Power 5 team in the Commonwealth, so we kind of win by default.
Surprising / not surprising of Stanford over USC for Cali.
It's like self-defeating clickbait for VA residents
I can't be the only one who noticed Marshall representing West Virginia
you're not
........

LOL, somehow I missed WVU getting dissed. Alum07's post pretty much sums up the office WVU fan right now, hahaha!!!
Going to have a lot of butthurt wvu fans on my facebook feed today. I agree with the article though. Marshall has been the better team in WV for a few seasons
Can't say I agree with only TCU and Texas A&M being considered. If either of those 2 played Houston at a neutral site I'm taking the Cougars.
I've taken a few cougars in my day too
Damn Maine has no division 1 teams...
or Alaska. I'm sure if someone started a team up there, the Big 12 would extend an invite.
And they'd somehow STILL be in the Big (L)East.
my bad...my brother told me my mistake..I meant Alaska....there is a nice documentary about a new high school program in Alaska, you can find it on YouTube. They only play about 4 games a year due to lack of field availability.
Or New York.
(/s sorry Cuse, had to)
Or Rhode Island,
I don't know how many people in the state would guess that Bryant (A very small private school) had a better team than URI (The large state university).
For such a small state, it packs a good punch in basketball. URI has been a pretty solid A10 team and is on the rise. Providence College and Alopecia Ed Cooley have been to a few tourneys of late. Again, Bryant is pretty bad however.
I liked the writeup.
Virginia: Virginia Tech -- Justin Fuente smoothest hire of the offseason, an honor that includes the bonus of retaining defensive coordinator Bud Foster. Bucky Hodges in Fuente's system might be a cheat code that the ACC will have to crack.
I thought his last name was Rodgers?
Bucky Hodges = Up-Up-Down-Down-Left-Right-Left-Right, B, A, SELECT, Start
CHEATER
Nothing better than 2 player Contra with 30 lives. Bring on the Funyuns and grape Sunkist and lets settle into some bean bag chairs for some NES extravaganza!
Navy > UMd. Suck it Turtles!
Gotta hate the Terps, and their soul-less money grab with the Big 10.
They didn't even pretend it was anything else.
I clicked on the comments for a good laugh, and the first one said
Now I live less than 5 minutes from W&M's campus... I may need to go investigate the water supply to see what the hell is in that water. They could beat LOLUVA but not the Hokies.
The referenced commenter is not young, not young at all. There were days when W&M, Richmond, and VMI could probably beat us as much as we could beat them. I have tried to forget those days, but lo and behold, JMU came along and ... I think we would take W&M this year.
I guess we'll find out how good they are on September 1, when they play NC State.
Still, It's a B.S. comment. William and Mary isn't the best football team in the state of Virginia by a long shot.
I'd say they're at least the best in the greater Williamsburg region, but I can't speak to the quality of HS teams around there...
Lafayette High School (my high school) is the best in Williamsburg by far. They have actually been ranked in the top 3 in the state for the past few years. They might be able to put up a fight. The other two HS teams are not good. We beat our main rival last year like 56-0 in the first half alone.
That's almost as funny as the comments on the sabre about this. Those guys seriously believe they are getting ready to own the state. Nevermind the fact that Bronco couldn't beat Fuente anywhere else, he's totally gonna do it in Charlottesville you guys.
I still can't figure out how to follow a conversation over there, it seems so broken up.
