Justin Fuente participated in a live Q&A on Facebook, Monday. It's a solid use of social media by Virginia Tech. Fuente discusses a wide variety of topics. The most interesting thing to me is he again mentioned DB Reggie Floyd, WR Divine Deablo, and Tavante Beckett as young players set to contribute this season.
This is what Fuente said about Floyd, Deablo, and Becket on Thursday.
"Tavante Beckett is one that I think is gonna play a role on this team. Reggie (Floyd) will play some somewhere, we'll see obviously how much and all that kind of good stuff. Those are two of the early guys that stand out either on special teams or have a chance to compete to get to the two-deep. I'm pleased with a large portion of them. Divine Diablo's a true freshman that was here in the spring that just continues to seem like he gets better every single day."

This was my first experience with the "Facebook Live" thing. Was not disappointed.
Anyone have any insight on whats up with Wyatt Teller? During Tech Talk Live last night Fuente mentioned nearly every other person on the OL but him, he was one of our best linemen last year, I was expecting big things from him this year as well.
Really happy to hear about Floyd, Beckett, Diablo, and the People's Champion. Would have liked to have heard something about McClease but the stable is deep at RB.
He mentioned him on Tech Talk Live, I missed most of what he said because TTL comes on at bedtime for the kids.
Said he was better between the tackles than he thought he would be because of his size.

Apparently TuneIn has seen some improvements over the last few years. I redownloadwd it for TTL and had a great listening experience, even pausing and rewinding live broadcast.

Based on past seasons, don't hold your breath. Then, if it is posted, prepare for a scavenger hunt on the Hokies Xtra site. It is a source of frustration for me annually.

Who is Beckett?
Tavante Beckett, LB out of 757. Undersized kid but a lot of heart, hard hitter. His HS highlights reminded me of Cody Grimm but Beckett is playing Mike instead of OLB.
Was a recruiting battle between Terps and VT but it shouldn't have been, I feel like if VT would've offered him earlier would've helped in-state recruiting.

I think Fearless Leader was simply suggesting that you somehow missed the multiple articles posted on this very site that tell you who Beckett is and that could easily have been remedied had you used the search function at the top of the page that he included for this very reason.
