Anyone have any interest in a Fantasy League for the World Cup Of Hockey next month?
There aren't any websites that are supporting it (since it's technically NHL offseason) but I'm happy to be Commissioner and manage everything by hand through a Google Drive sheet so everyone can see what's going on.
Was thinking just for fun, not a money league. Aiming for a draft within the next two weeks or so. Tournament starts on Sept 17th.

I mean, i would be interested, but how would it work?
I've done similar stuff in the past and it's not as in depth as a real Roto or Keeper league, but still fun.
Since it's a smaller tournament each person would get 22 roster spots to fill 3 full lines with 4 utility players. It would break down to a minimum of 9 forwards, 6 defense, 3 goalies, and then 4 additional players of whatever position you'd like (I.e. 4 additional forwards, 2 forwards and 2 defense, 3 defense and 1 goalie, etc.).
At the beginning of each week (prior to Monday's game slate), each person would have to set a 6 person team for the week. It would be based off of pure points (no Head-to-head, etc.) and points would be awarded/deducted based on:
(for skaters) Goals, Assists, PPG, PPA, Hat Tricks, SOG, +/-
(for goalies) Saves, Goals Against, Wins, Shutouts
I would just have to manually enter in points for each player after the games each night, which I don't mind doing, it just obviously won't be a live update. The real challenge is making sure you have enough of a spread across all the WCOH Teams since it's a tournament and Countries will be continually knocked out. We could also do a redraft after each round is completed, but I think that takes away some of the fun and strategy.
