Fuente said that Williams has a "hurdle to overcome" that was here before the new staff. I have no clue
Crytic. Maybe he has an actual hurdle in front of his locker that the old coaching staff left that will take him a literal 2 weeks to get over?

Honestly at this point, I feel like they should just redshirt him and Shai. I feel like Travon/Rogers is a good enough 1-2 punch with Mcclease absorbing any additional snaps available.

This was pretty much a given. I don't think anyone thought it would have turned out differently.
Very, very excited about this. Can't help but to feel a bit bad for Motley though. It's clear that Fuente is making the best decision for the team.
This decision is going to make or break this team.
From what I hear about Evans, he has not really taken on a leadership role for his teammates.
I would have at least given motley the start against livery and then rotated. Gotta show the team some love.
I've read a comment on hear of the exact opposite. That Evams was the only one actually acting like the starter with the team and getting them together on the field and such.
And I've heard that VT is underrated and overrated.

I've heard the exact opposite from my people. That he's been a lot more vocal than the other two. Especially when it comes to getting his team up to Fuetempo.

I really don't feel too bad for Motley. I think we gave him a scholarship for football when no other Div 1 school did. He hopefully has managed to get a good education that will set him up for the rest of his life during his five years here.
That's not true. He had scholly offers from GT and LOLUVA. Many, myself included, think he would've been pretty lethal in the GT offense.

Freely sit corrected, I wasn't sure. But realistically he only had offers from GT and VT, that other school doesn't really play football does it?
Good point. I do feel for him, but I think he will go on and be fine. My kids were the 4th to last that he signed for at the fan appreciate day and he was a smiles and chatted with them a bit. Just seems like a really good dude who kind of got the shaft from the Loeffler days.
I hear it's the easiest path to a starting gig at UGA, though.
Going from the Wing T to PJ's 1930s clusterf*ck would have been his best bet. The biggest knock on the guy is his pocket awareness and that could have been mitigated at GT.
That being said, I like the kid and I'm glad he stayed home. He saved our bacon last year and I hope he sees the field some this year.

Thoughts? Basically we the Hokie Nation are going have to wait and see. But the unknown to us steps into the light on Saturday and after reviewing some of his youtube highlights at Trinity Valley CC, I am optimistic Evans can get get it done and feel Coach Fuente knows what he is doing. While some here have indicated that they are not sold on his overall arm strength, in Fuente's system he is going to surprise. His legs and quickness too. He's bringing far more to the table than that warrior Michael Brewer had to offer. Overall, Evan's team last year, TVCC, had impressive team speed, so once he is fully comfortable with facing bigger defenses, he's going to rock. I'm betting the house that with him this team is going to find a groove and come along just fine.
TVCC 2015 highlights I wonder who the receiver #8 is. I want him as a Hokie.
