A person familiar with the situation tells The Associated Press that Duke quarterback Thomas Sirk is expected to miss the season after reinjuring the Achilles tendon he tore in February.
This is a blow to Duke, with less than a week to get ready for their first game with a new QB.

Man that is one program that just doesn't have good luck with injuries at all. They lost their best offensive and defensive players before last season as well
Feel terrible for the guy. That's a huge hit as a redshirt senior.
He already lost one season to an Achilles injury so maybe he can get a medical redshirt for this season and attempt this again next season. But since this is the third one, do you just hang it up so you can walk later in life?
Feel sorry for the kid, at least he's got a degree from Duke to fall back on.
