ACC Network Affiliates week 1 - Liberty at VT

It's finally time to start finding out how to watch the game!

Full list: http://www.theacc.com/news/acc-football-on-the-acc-network-liberty-at-vi...

There is a link in the above link for "watch live". And, there's the ACC app that also streams the game. ESPN3 usually has the game blacked out in most of the country, to the point that it doesn't make sense to even try.

For the Virginia based folks:
Blacksburg - WDBJ 7 (CBS)
DC - My20 WDCA
Richmond - CW Richmond
Tidewater - WGNT 27 (CW)
Hooville - NBC 29
Harrisonburg - WHSV-DV4 (MyNetwork)

ESPN3 has been pretty reliable for me - no blackouts. Of course, that could be because I live in Nashville (not exactly an ACC market). We'll be at the beach (Florida gulf coast / 30A) for Labor Day weekend. So, I'm counting on streaming it ESPN3.

Oh, and I forgot to mention -- Richmond folks...there is a change. It looks like CW will be the primary ACC Network channel instead of Fox. If true, that is a drastic improvement, as the local Fox station has issues with broadcasting programs that they have scheduled.

The new ACC deal with ESPN might eliminate the ESPN3 blackout, though. In the past, if you looked up the lineup of games on WatchESPN/ESPN3, the ACC Network game would still have a regular ESPN3 logo. Now there's a mini ACC Network ESPN logo.

Thank god, still waiting for the 4th quarter of the App St game that was preempted by baseball.

Not even baseball...some lame between-game filler show. "This Week in Baseball" or some garbage.

The only problem with this, correct me if I'm wrong, is you can get Fox with an HD antenna whereas CW you need to have cable right?

Let's Go...

Nope. CW is another network, just like NBC, CBS, ABC, or Fox. Granted, it's a much smaller network, and in a lot of places, it's delegated to a subchannel, like a x.2 or something. And there are some places where the signal is weak and unreliable to the point that you really only can get it with cable or satellite.

Ironically, in Richmond, the hardest channel to get over the air is NBC 12, which I think is largely a technical issue due to the frequency that it was assigned to. The reasons it is ironic is that NBC is one of the big three, and NBC 12 is part of a duopoly with CW Richmond, both owned by Raycom, and both stations run by the same people.

Raleigh, NC: WRAL (CBS NBC)
(that one's for me, Alum07, and whoever else lives in the Triangle)

No, I *don't* want to go to the SEC. Why do you ask?

We don't love dem Hoos.

Thanks!

Got another hokie hear in the triangle! Just moved here last month

If you can't handle my shit posts, you don't deserve my memes

When did WRAL become NBC?!?! They've been CBS forever!

A decade on TKP and it's been time well spent.

According to wikipedia, they switched on leap day.

But it looks like they've been affiliated with all of the Big Three during their history at some point. It's kind of interesting, if you're into that kind of stuff.

Hence my edit. When I moved here they were still CBS... then everything changed.

Been here a little over a year. We lived in Raleigh for a year, then moved to Cary this summer.

Where did you take up residence?

Hopefully the ACC/ESPN can grow the number of cities that carry an "ACC network" station. Hopefully they won't have the issue PAC 12 does in getting in certain markets/providers.

Which one is OBX, Wilmington?

Let's Go...

It should be Tidewater. Depends how far down you are though.

I hate being stationed in South Dakota.

Espn3 it is.

For those of you with Dish Network in the mid-Atlantic area (I'm in PA), the Boston affiliate (WSBK) is included in most channel packages and shows ACC games on a regular basis. That's hopefully how I'll be seeing the game.

Amazingly ironic. NJ isn't on the list (Oregon is...but not NJ). Where I'll be this weekend. Slingbox it is!

We put the K in Kwality

Depending on where you are in NJ, you'll get either the NYC market (North Jersey) or the Philly market (South Jersey). I live in NJ thats how it has always been, we dont have our own TV markets.

Jersey shore...this area doesn't really get either market. Need to tell the FIL to do a better job of house planning!

We put the K in Kwality

Might be ok still.

Grew up on LBI and usually still got the Philly ones, but that was a while back.

Going to be on the Eastern Shore this weekend. Hopefully I'll be able to find a place that gets the channel out of Salisbury.

The Orange and Maroon you see, that's fighting on to victory.

The ACC sports app and website is awesome. The games shown on the website aren't limited to the U.S. market. Other than that I usually find some watch tv free website.
The hardest part is trying to stay up late enough or wake up early enough to watch them. Right now it is a 9 hour time difference but that will change to 10 whenever daylight savings time is. So when a game is announced for 1:00 I am probably the only happy hokie.

Edit: For all the other international hokies, the Liberty game will be live on the ACC Sports app and website.

Jesus Christ, it's actually on a local channel for me!

Interesting bit. I tried checking out the Louisville game via WatchESPN. It's labeled as ACC Network Extra. It's telling me I'm blacked out on my phone in Richmond. I don't see an option for it on the ACC app.

Just found the game on TV at work. It's on the Comcast Network. (Not Comcast SportsNet, which is showing the Ravens preseason game.) I don't think I get that channel at home on Fios.

Looks like a Fox production, with the graphics package.

Metro NYC, LI, and parts of CT that get WNYW 10/55 (WCBS sister station) will air the game. Just glad I don't have to stream it!!

-What we do is, if we need that extra push, you know what we do? -Put it up to fully dipped? -Fully dipped. Exactly. It's dork magic.

Game day bump.

Am I an idiot? I can't see the game on the ACC App? Somebody help!

Me too, audio only.

It’s later than you think.

If you have a computer, you can stream it in browser here:
