No but seriously they actually DO THIS in Tennessee. Part of DUI sentencing is min. 24 hours picking up roadside trash while wearing vests that say "I'm a drunk driver" on the back. Its called the "Shame on You" law, and like EVERYONE wears Tennessee orange underneath, especially on gamedays. Its hilarious but also kind of alarming.
It's both the punchline for a joke and the truth. Why is Tennessee that shade of orange? So they can watch the game Saturday, hunt on Sunday, and pick up trash on the side of the road Monday through Friday.

Where are people getting poles or sticks to hold their signs?
What you need to know:
-GameDay is free. You do not need a ticket to the game to be in the GameDay audience, but fans crossing the grounds of Bristol Motor Speedway to get there must have their ticket displayed to get through the perimeter security check point.
-Parking is available at 2636 Volunteer Parkway, Bristol, TN 37620, GPS Coordinates: 36.525027, -82.256095. Bristol Motor Speedway shuttles do not operate from this locations.
-Do not arrive before 7 a.m.
-Fans entering the GameDay pit will be checked by a security wand
-No bags, backpacks or purses permitted in the pit
-No offensive, vulgar, inappropriate or solicitation signage will be allowed (i.e., no political, religious, or .com, .org, .net signage). All signs will be approved before entering the pit.
-No signs on a stick
-No pens, pencils, markers or dry erase boards
-No food or drinks
-Throwing of objects is prohibited

I know they're effectively memes at this point, but those last two might be dangerously close to the political line for TKP.
That being said, I've always thought we should have one purge thread, no rules, and no acknowledgement of it in any other threads. I can see why it'd be a bad idea though too, but I think it would somehow hold some of the best and worst content on the site were it to happen.
I understand, but disagree. There is no political discussion invited or implied, and no opinions stated. Simply pop culture references applied to the wrong person, which makes it funny. No worse than Harambe.
Usually just the mention of Hillary of Trump is enough to invite political "discussion" on most popular websites. Luckily TKP almost never touches such subjects.
Like I said, I think he is dangerously close to the figurative line which is why I left a comment instead of down voting or asking for it to be removed. They are a newer member and I simply wanted to remind them that political topics are one of the few taboo subjects around here.

You can't embed a website as an image. To use "img" tags, the file extension (.jpg, .png, etc) needs to be present. imgur gives you HTML code "for websites and blogs" - copy and paste it directly.

I had the same problem last time i tried to use imgur. they changed their ui enough so that i couldn't find a way to copy the image for embedding because the link they provided didn't work. i did the same thing you did, but when I pasted the url into the picture box here, i just added .jpg and it worked
If you're on your computer and using Chrome, Right Click and open image in a new tab, and then copy/paste that URL. For imgur you might have to do that twice, but eventually it'll work.
secret imgur trick... just add .jpg to the URL and unless it's a GIF it will display just the image.
yup, this is what i did. the links on the right weren't working on tkp as they were produced, but there's another link to the post if you mouse over the image, which is the one i copied and added the jpg to

That's what I've been hoping since both announced their retirements.
It makes too much sense. The most famous football alumni of each program just retired in the past 10 months, and both were undeniable Hall of Fame talents and household names at their respective jobs. Biggest game ever deserves the biggest picking panel ever. Peyton because... well, Peyton. Beamer because... well, Beamer, but also on a more personal note with GameDay in that they openly admit they wouldn't be where they are now without Beamer realizing it was an opportunity to sell the VT brand in the early 2000s with their events. Overnight the show went from a fun thing to a Saturday morning staple in the fall.
I'd love to see Peyton/Fulmer vs Vick/Beamer. Everyone show up to the coin toss with boxing gloves.
I would expect Peyton Manning and possibly Bruce Smith to make an appearance.
