Moneyball
Moneyball was awesome, i need to be more careful before i fat finger the vote.
Major League II??? If you drop that from the list, I would agree with it. The only thing redeeming about that movie is that it was filmed in Camden Yards.
The first film is a better movie, but the second has MUCH funnier lines. Jack Parkman and Harry Doyle were at their best.
The Back to the Minors (Major League III) wasn't terrible.
My buddy is gonna kill me for saying this but Sandlot > Bull Durham all day everyday
Edit: Hardball is a great movie (possibly Keanu's best job)
I don't know if my edit is showing up but: Hardball is a great baseball movie. Surprised it's not on here.
Shocked and appalled that Angels in the Outfield didn't make your list. Probably the best film of Danny Glover's career (although a solid case could be made for Pure Luck). I would also have to include Moneyball.
Moneyball is number one for me, one of the best movies I have ever seen.
I enjoyed Mr. Baseball because Japanese Baseball has always fascinated me.
The best baseball movie is the one that isn't made. Baseball sucks.
But Sandlot is a classic. Hard to disagree with Field of Dreams.
I just recently was able to watch 42 and i think it did a great job of telling Jackie's story
that was good as well.

42 became my favorite baseball movie when I saw it. It's just so well done.
I also am a big fan of The Final Season.

I might be alone on this one but I didn't really like 42 that much. I went in thinking it was a movie about his entire life, or at least his career, but it was just about his first season.
You're not alone; I was a little underwhelmed by 42. If you really want to see a great movie about Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier in baseball, check out Soul of the Game. It's an incredible film that focuses not only on Jackie, but some of the other African American ballplayers who were overlooked at the time.
I've done some research project on Jackie Robinson for school projects before so maybe it helped that I knew a good bit about him going into that movie.
But I thought the movie did a wonderful job theatrically, I loved the actual baseball scenes. Perhaps my favorite is when they're playing in Cincinatti and the kid in the stands starts yelling at him like everyone else, that just seemed really powerful to me and showed how that culture was such a taught thing when kids grew up.
Your list is upside down. It starts and ends with the natural
Gary Busey at his finest:

Sandlot is def number 1 though

For the Love of the Game is a contender
Just curious, but did you watch this on MLB Network yesterday as well?
A League of Their Own.
Yeah, I said it.
THERE'S NO CRYING IN BASEBALL!!!
Sorry, but Major League is much better than Major League II. So many quotes from that movie that are absolutely hilarious. Bob Uecker is the best announcer baseball has ever had because of that movie. Not to mention the fact that Wild Thing was Charlie Sheen before Charlie Sheen was Charlie Sheen.
If you remember Charlie Sheen's character in Ferris Buellers Day Off, Charlie Sheen has always been Charlie Sheen.
Wendy Peffercorn makes Sandlot number 1.
1. Bull Durham
2. Major League I
3. The Sandlot
4. Field of Dreams
5. A League of their Own
6. The Natural
7. Eight Men Out
8. Little Big League
9. The Pride of the Yankees
10a. Major League II
10b. For Love of the Game (good story, not enough baseball)
For those keeping score at home, thats three movies for Kevin Costner and three for Charlie Sheen.
The Rookie is a good movie. The one where Dennis Quaid is the old dude who tries out for the Majors.
Can someone please explain the appeal of The Natural? I just don't get it. Watched it recently and fell asleep.
I'd say
1) The Natural
2) Major League
3) The Sandlot
4) Field of Dreams
5) Bull Durham
