Major League II??? If you drop that from the list, I would agree with it. The only thing redeeming about that movie is that it was filmed in Camden Yards.

The first film is a better movie, but the second has MUCH funnier lines. Jack Parkman and Harry Doyle were at their best.

The Back to the Minors (Major League III) wasn't terrible.

Five star get after it 100 percent Juice Key-Playing. MAN

My buddy is gonna kill me for saying this but Sandlot > Bull Durham all day everyday

Edit: Hardball is a great movie (possibly Keanu's best job)

Shocked and appalled that Angels in the Outfield didn't make your list. Probably the best film of Danny Glover's career (although a solid case could be made for Pure Luck). I would also have to include Moneyball.

Not the bagman VT deserves, but the bagman VT needs right now.

I enjoyed Mr. Baseball because Japanese Baseball has always fascinated me.

The best baseball movie is the one that isn't made. Baseball sucks.

But Sandlot is a classic. Hard to disagree with Field of Dreams.

42 became my favorite baseball movie when I saw it. It's just so well done.

I might be alone on this one but I didn't really like 42 that much. I went in thinking it was a movie about his entire life, or at least his career, but it was just about his first season.

You're not alone; I was a little underwhelmed by 42. If you really want to see a great movie about Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier in baseball, check out Soul of the Game. It's an incredible film that focuses not only on Jackie, but some of the other African American ballplayers who were overlooked at the time.

I've done some research project on Jackie Robinson for school projects before so maybe it helped that I knew a good bit about him going into that movie.

But I thought the movie did a wonderful job theatrically, I loved the actual baseball scenes. Perhaps my favorite is when they're playing in Cincinatti and the kid in the stands starts yelling at him like everyone else, that just seemed really powerful to me and showed how that culture was such a taught thing when kids grew up.

Sorry, but Major League is much better than Major League II. So many quotes from that movie that are absolutely hilarious. Bob Uecker is the best announcer baseball has ever had because of that movie. Not to mention the fact that Wild Thing was Charlie Sheen before Charlie Sheen was Charlie Sheen.
