So I'm a teacher in Virginia and I just received at interesting email. Partly due to the fact that I think its a great idea and also because I got a good chuckle at fact that it includes LOLUVA. Below is excerpts from the said email from Duke's Ticket Services .

With the 2016 school year in full swing, I wanted to let everyone know about a special offer for all teachers and staff.
I would like to take this opportunity to personally invite you and your staff out to our Annual Teacher Appreciation Day on October 1st against Virginia. We would also like to give you an opportunity to purchase discounted tickets for our game on November 5th against Virginia Tech. Tickets for these events start at just $15 and can be purchased for family and friends as well.

Duke knows they aren't gonna be able to even give UVA tickets away so why not come up with an event to get more "fans" in the stadium. Not a huge deal but still got a chuckle.

it looks like the email is being sent to each state county then passed down to the principals and then out to the teachers. If I wasn't photographing a wedding, I would be there.

Cheers! I'm not sure the deal behind that location honestly. I initially thought it was land of her friends and family but the property has a groundskeeper. It's strange.

That's a sweet promotion, and obviously loluva continues. I never understood why teams like Duke or Kentucky don't give season ticket holders for football priority for basketball tickets. I feel like that would get better football sales at least, if not more fans.
Worth noting that VT vs. Duke tickets are only $6 on stub hub.

We could flood the Dook stadium with Hokie fans rooting for Dook. That would be pretty funny
It really would consider every year we do it to UVA it gets funnier and funnier.
