Hidden in the 5 Things to Know for the ECU game was the tidbit
Stay in your seat at the end of the 1st quarter for Lane Stadium's first ever card stunt
Any idea what the design will be? Who else is prepared for the paper airplane onslaught? SIGH

this idea had to have come from Bristol
I wouldn't be surprised if it says something like "This is Home"
or "Thank you Frank"
I don't know if paper airplanes will be that much of a concern...the "cards" may not be good quality for paper airplanes
it might also be a good idea to put some promotion on the cards to discourage paper airplanes. Like, on the card put a note that says "redeem this card for a free meal from West End" or something
Nor would I, especially considering the graphic says "THIS IS HOME CARD STUNT" haha.
hah..I didn't even bother reading the graphic...I feel dumb now
Hahaha sorry to make fun but it was there for the taking.
Yea your so dumb for not seeing that!! Who else would not see that? Not me, nope I haven't spent the entire time at the OB trying to guess what it will say, nope.
Ever make a mistake and think "That's so Raven"
No.
That is the clip I was thinking of, couldn't remember where it came from. Leg
Yea I figure that is what it will be -- just curious to hear some other ideas
That's insane...
That is about as exciting as soccer gets
Picked up my computer to "zoom in"
so, am I the only one who doesn't know what a card stunt is?
That is a pretty awesome pic....
This is home. Great picture and wish we could play it again.
I SEE ME!!
The handsome guy in the middle?
If TKP member made it up, it could say "Fuck Matt Ryan".
Or "Go, Keavienne (Kevin)!"
or "Pussy Touchdowns".
Fully Dipped Dork Magic
H/T HokieWartooth for the template via Twitter
I think we have a winner here ! :--)
It's definitely not UVA.
So the natural order of things is conserved.
Bronco decided he'd rather watch football on Saturday than the draw at Scott stadium, so he scored some tickets near the 20 at Lane:

The paper airplane thing at Lane was so 3-4 years ago, and I'm glad it's gone. Made us look trashy.
You haven't been to a game in the last two years uh.
Season tickets, been to almost every game since 96. Last year got moved to the "alumni" side. Haven't seen a paper airplane in a long time. Hope to never see one again in Lane. I understand the fun of it, hell, I've thrown more than my share. But, is that REALLY what you want visiting fans and a national audience to think of when they see Tech on the schedule?? "Oh, that's the cute place where they throw the paper airplanes in the fourth quarter, how quaint." Or do you want them to remember Enter Sandman, and have them sh&$(#ng themselves at the thought of playing in the Terror Dome??
What I meant was paper airplanes are still an issue. Even saw them last year during the OSU game.
Gotcha, didn't mean to rant, it's just that the airplane thing is so bush league. And we're better than that.
I want them to already be headed to the parking lot before the fourth quarter gets underway.
Sadly thats just our fans
Yea, about that..... We had two make it to the field in the first half last week.
Guys in front of and beside me last week easily went through 3 or 4 programs to fuel their paper airplanes.
I'm sure it will spell out Hokie Respect
"Welcome to our permanent crossover rival"
I wish I had the talent and technology to create a gif/meme card at the airport. I'd go for:
The Horse on a Treadmill clip got a lot of applause during the "Shout" musical montage at the game last week
Deservedly so
When they brought it back at the Maryland game in 2013 during the "Invent the Future" commercial thing brought the house down. The game...didn't happen.
One more for our visiting guests
Also, I'm bored at work.
That's not the name of their school...
it's Eastern Carolina University.
I'm starting to get worried that we're going to fall down this hole of calling Eastern Carolina the wrong name so long that we keep finding new ways to change it and that some day we'll end up changing it back to the original. Kind of like Garry "Jerry"/"Larry"/"Lenny"/"Terry"/"Barry"/"Gerry" Gergich "Gengurch"/"Girgich" from Parks and Rec where he finally gets called by his actual name at the end.

And still a better photoshop than UVa's attempt
awesome. I was going to put together a template with white cards so you could overlay text and still get the broken up effect, but...I decided that would take way too long. I like your take on it as an alternative.
UVA did one for the Richmond game (their last home game):
That's their version of "white effect".
They do it almost every weekend.
Instead of white effect, they call it spring festival.
Fall Festival. Every weekend.
The Charleston (S.C.) Riverdogs baseball team used to do a stunt every year where they set the record for least fans by not letting anyone in until several innings had been played.
The difference being there were people that wanted to see the game.
"Uncompromised Excellence"

(That last one: foreshadowing much?)
Things I love about this picture:
-Chris Clarke's jamz
-the uva camera guy getting some sweet chin music
-the poor boy with the ball headed to his face sums it up: Wahoo basketball can't see the BUZZsaw coming
-the balding Uva guy in existential crisis: "cogito ergo sum...I think therefore I am...Tony Bennett...arrgh this is illogical!"
-facepalm girl
VT grounds crew unintentionally giving away the card stunt in a tweet today? Would embed but can't right now.
What did it look like? Didn't see anything.
Multiple tweets and pictures posted in other threads today.
I haven't TKP'ed hardly any today. Shameful.
It's ok, man. You can't be perfect everyday..
Speak for yourself!
