Sorry to post yet another thread today, but I saw this on Twitter -- Duke is offering tickets to the Virginia Tech game for $14.92 until tomorrow at midnight (end of Columbus Day). They are general admission tickets, which are usually $25.
So.... who else is going? pic.twitter.com/kCXxY8zolBβ Henry Skutt (@hskutt17) October 9, 2016
After having such a fun time yesterday at the UNC game, I know for sure I'm going to pick up some of these tickets. The website is here

Already got mine
I'll be there!
After you do, be sure to buy a tailgate pass for the Alumni Association tailgate on Dukes campus. It's right next to the stadium and beer and typical tailgate food are included. Nothing official has been said yet but last time Whit, Kevin Jones, the cheerleaders and the Hokie Bird all made an appearance and we're hearing that could be the case again.
Buy now at Trianglehokies.org
Ok folks I need some sure fire reasons to give my wife why I NEED to be at this game.
the North Carolina economy needs you.
In case there's a fire at Wallace Wade. Duh...
Preemptive evacuation from the coast for the next storm
How do I explain leaving her with four kids in that case?
Thats when you act like your cellphone cut out...and are good with being on the couch for a long time.
Every healthy marriage has give and take. She gives you 4 kids, you take the weekend off to go watch football...
He can just do what I do and take the oldest kid with you. The wife will appreciate it and he can indoctrinate a future Hokie.
Heck, my kid's fist bumping skills went from 0 to 10 thanks to all the practice he's had at Lane this year.
Might think about that.
I would suggest trying to take more than one kid. When my wife was a couple weeks out from having out latest, even just having the extra toddler running around was too much. I took the 3 and 5 year old to some baseball games and that worked well, but if I couldn't find an activity that could get all walking children out of the house, it was a no go.
The good news is that it's duke, so there will be lots of empty bleachers for the kids to run around on.
So I crowd source babysitters? Love it
Heck, let them run as far as Chapel Hill. They'll each come back with multiple degrees.
duke gardens are nice. Just give them some sharpened sticks and a conch shell and let them run wild while you're at the game. I'm sure nothing bad can come of it.
This is a real thing! My section of Lane is always watching out for the kids that sit in it.
you musta had a few stuck keys... fixed it 4 u!
I already have 6 for this game. 2 of mine are going to a UVA buddy and his wife - they desperately need to see a good game this Fall....and before they experience #13 in a row.
So, did they make the trip to Duke for the UVA game?
Lol, nope.
Man, that's just cold.
Does it include a hot dog, a drink, a rain poncho and a life preserver?
I wonder if I will have dried out from this last game by the time this one rolls around.
I wussed out and moved up under the covered seats.
Got mine! Thanks for the heads up!!
Good looking out. Definitely headed to the game now.
I got tickets last week. My cousin from Nebraska (Cornhusker fan) will be in town and we decided to go to the game. Sitting in section 5.
I am so excited about being able to attend this game! Got our 3 tickets through this promotion and will be there for our first away game to see those Hokies! Thanks to everyone who shared this information about this special deal. Cannot wait to be there! Go Hokies!
I should have bought tickets last week when they were 7 dollars on stubhub.
Then you could have taken the whole fam for less than the price of a ticket at Lane
This is awesome... thanks. 'Little Lane' will be sea of O&M
Is anyone here parking in the RV lot?
Did you guys have to buy them ALL??? I just tried the promo code and it looks like they ran out.
Tried to buy 3, ended up having to buy 1 ticket 3 times.
Won't even let me buy one. UNC fans must have told them I yell too loud.
Also shouldn't have put an ad in the freaking Roanoke Times.... but hey, Hokie fans aren't complaining
They must have shut off the promotion early because too many Hokies were buying them :/ bummer, guess will have to scout out StubHub for some cheap last minute tickets.
I took a huge dump at Cameron Indoor once.
I'm a grad student at Duke. Students go free, but it is almost worth the $15 to not have to sit in the Duke student section.
