So I have been wanting to do this for awhile, and I finally pulled the trigger. Like yourselves I constantly find myself wanting to spend what little money I have. But with all of the TKPers tailgating for games and other events, I really want to make our presence known. I had this made with the hope that it would turn out well. I cannot say that I was disappointed. It really is very well made and seems quite durable.
Don't let the fact that my license plate is visible through the flag fool you. Apparently night time+camera flash+reflective material on a license plate=x-ray vision.

This thing was not necessarily cheap, but they get exponentially cheaper if you buy them in bulk.
I didn't put this flag up today, but I also made a flagpole with the intentions of using it specifically for this.
There is a small flaw with this one that I had made, but I will let yall decide if you can find it. It is very insignificance but I thought we had it worked out during the design process, so I will at least be contacting the supplier to inquire what happened.
Like all of you, I really love the community that this website represents and I want to show my support of it and also get the word out to more people. If an opportunity came available for a bulk order of these, would people be interested in acquiring one? I have no idea, yet, how to work out those logistics but it could be possible. Just the thought of something like this being in the backdrop of something like College Gameday gets me giddy.

The simple flaw is only that with the maroon background of the flag, you miss the protruding outline of the maroon keys. In the bottom left version of the mocks you can see where they added a white ring around everything for me. This was supposed to be in the final product but isnt for some reason. It is really insignificant. I only notice because I ordered it.

It looks like they might have just gone with the logo as it appears on the website (They may have just gone with a higher resolution image over the mock up they made with the white band).
The image I supplied them with is high res. I obtained it with permission last year.
If I might make a design suggestion, rather than the white outline around the protruding keys, take a look at expanding the width of the thin white circle that frames the outside edge of the circle so that it provides a white background for the portion of the keys that currently extends beyond the border. To me, outlining the keys in white looks odd.
I like it. That was all done by them though. The original logo is all I sent them. I actually noticed the maroon banner at the top of this site has the same issue. It really doesn't take much from it, and you wouldn't notice it if the flag were in the air.

I had this made by a supplier and it was the only one. They normally work in bulk though so maybe at some point a big order can be made. I'm sure that's easier for them. Believe me, I want everyone to have one of these.

I've been meaning to ask you where/how you were planning on getting the flag made... I would definitely like to purchase one, depending upon asking price.

1) Could you have Emma Watson in a bikini hold it up for photos (x ray vision of flash would be put to better use), and

Im in a 4 door as well which I'm really glad I did. I love that thing, it's the most solid vehicle I have ever had, and as a mechanic it is by far the most easy thing I have ever worked on. It's like the engineers actually had brains. (I know there are alot of engineers on here. They run in my family too. I know how crazy y'all are hahahah)
I also drive a Tacoma, 4 door. It's a bit tight with a car seat, but the truck will still be going strong by the time car seats are gone.
I had an 05 Tundra Limited. I loved that truck and had wanted one since I was a kid. Somehow was talked into selling it in a weak moment (three kids in car seats at the time). One of the worst decisions I've made. I cannot wait to own another one...
Is the image reversed on the other side of the flag, i.e. is it backwards on the other side or only printed on one side?
It is. The bit of flag education I got from them taught me that what they call Single Sided Reverse is the most common type of printed flag. So it is a mirror image on the back. You can get them double sided, but its twice as much money because you basically end up with two flags sewn together with a blinder liner in the middle. It's just as clear on the other side, only backwards.
Flag looks awesome, but I imagine this thread is a bit infuriating for Joe. He's trying to raise money to keep the site afloat (and I realize I have yet to sign on as key player, which I have set a notice to do tomorrow) and as per older posts, which you may not be aware of, regarding t-shirts these kind of things detract from Joe being able to raise money for TKP itself.
Maybe I am wrong, but I remember Joe asking specifically for people to stop designing tshirts on here and instead buy TKP shirts. Anyway, don't mean to be a wet blanket. The flag indeed looks fantastic. And you will definitely be spreading the word of mouth. Keep Hokieing on.

I appreciate the concern there and it was definitely something that I thought of before I did this. I got his permission before even attempting it, and he was on board with the idea. I really just wanted to see how one would come out, before anything gets done further. It turned out quite nicely, and my hope is that more can possibly be made with the full intent of benefiting this website, not myself.

I have that flag. It's nice. It always flys too. But just about everyone has it. I wanted something unique. Who only flys one flag? We have the American and VA state up as well.
