Weird Week Seven Start. Navy vs. ECU postponed and Friday night has a whole slate of games. Right now Duke is keeping high powered Louisville low scoring.
I was feeling kind of nervous about the Duke game this year for us just because Duke has always seemed to be a thorn in our side.
But if Bud keeps his defense at where it is right now, I don't think we'll have any problems. It seems like they have 4 plays -- read option, run up the middle, screen pass, or chuck it downfield.
It's either that or they're being hyper-conservative for some odd reason

How does Mack Brown still have a job? He has said so much BS during this game tonight. "Look for them to run it inside here", Duke throws a screen, "Don't look for them to punt anymore", Duke down 10 with less than a 1:30 on the clock.

He is atrocious. I have extremely low expectations from these guys and he manages to not meet them.
How about the exchange when Louisville got the ball back with about six minutes to go. the play by play guy says "What kind of mode are you in offensively? Are you in quick-strike mode or are you in churning-clock mode if you're Louisville?" Mack replies "A little bit of both"
He later added "Dalvin Cook is a good player"

I've only half-watched any of the Friday night games this season, but I'm pretty sure I've heard him mention Vince Young and Colt McCoy every single time.

Didn't they fumble 7 times in the A&M game? I mean hats off to them for taking to overtime, but good teams don't fumble 7 times. If they put together a complete, mistake free game, then sure, they are scary, but we have literally never seen that from them this season.

Watched part of Duke replay on the U. Gave L'ville their longest touchdown from scrimmage on the season...when the back tried to strip the ball instead of making the tackle. That was pivotal.

NC State and Clemson are tied at 3 with 2 minutes to go. Gotta give NCS D credit for stopping Clemson at the goal line and all the penalties the offense has.

Clemson is very suspect this year. They escaped Louisville but that was probably their best game they have played and they did have some help from the refs. Only up 7 at the half against NCST. Though NCST is 4-1 right now which isn't too bad. But if they want to be considered for the playoffs they need to pick it up. Especially if they plan on beating us in the ACCCG.

Here's my thing. The refs have definitely hurt UVA in the game, I've seen a lot of missed holding calls that have resulted in extended drives. BUT you can not blame the refs for the game when you have not put up a single point in the second half. They aren't stopping you from scoring. The team who scores the most wins.

Funny story: I was scanning through the games on SiriusXM and saw Army winning big over Lafayette... but the display on my radio in my truck said that the game was Army versus Louisiana-Lafayette.

This is the same NCST that lost to an Eastern Carolina team we blew out. By the transitive property, VT is the favorite to win the ACC and go to the playoffs.

I think we could stop louisville if we met them in the ACCCG. Duke's discipline is poor at containing and Louisville's throwing is horrible
Our defense and defensive depth are better than Duke's.

Well we know what Duke's strategy will be against us: milk the clock, win time of possession, and hope to have a chance at the end of the game.
But this crap is actually easy to counter--just stack the box and make them throw. Don't know why LVILLE Dmcouldn't get off the field.
