Ahh, such good memories:
Beat UVA on their turf to send Beamer off with a 23rd straight bowl game.
Announced Fuente as head coach. It was a comfortable 70 degrees in November.
Rushed THEIR field after the win.

All was right in the world for a little while!

I don't do this much, but wanna hear a story? At the start of my senior football season, my dad was diagnosed with cancer. Throughout the season, he went through chemo and radiation. Before every Tuesday practice, Coach Beamer would ask me how he was doing. By the end of the year, with senior night on Friday, Beams asked again. And when I told him how tough my dad's treatment had gotten and I wasn't sure if he could sit through the freezing cold the whole game, Coach came through. He made sure my dad had a golf cart to take him down to the field for senior night, and to take him back to the car right across the street, at anytime of the game, if he needed to warm up... When you hear players say this man is more than a coach, we are not bullshitting. A day late, I know. But happy birthday Coach Beamer! P.S. My dad's been cancer free for 2 years now. P.P.S. We beat UVA that night.

As an aside, it's awesome that simply knowing that we beat LOLUVa that season doesn't really narrow it down. It's not like he said "you know, the year we beat anOSU"
