I'm in Orlando for work. Want to find a place where I can watch the game where they will likely have audio available (a concern with the world series find at the same time).

What area of Orlando? The local alumni association has a watch party downtown. Can't remember the name of the bar off the top of my head, but can dig up the email if you'd like.
I was in Orlando for the Tennessee game, near the convention center, and just opted to watch in my hotel room since all the bars around that claimed to be sports bars had nubs TVs.
If you can provide that name it would be awesome. I was considering watching the game at my hotel for the reason you stated. I'm over by Disney.
Johnny's Other Side is the name of the bar. It was about a 30 min uber/cab from the convention center area, so I passed.
I used to be in the Central Florida alumni association and still keep up with them on Facebook. Can confirm they are meeting at Johnny's Filling Station aka Johnny's Other Side.
Anyway, it looks like it is located at 2631 S Fern Creek Ave, which is at the intersection of Michigan St. Not real close to Disney, but if you had a rental car it wouldn't be a terrible drive depending on the time of day. But they are a real nice bunch of folks. Very, very welcoming to newcomers and drop bys.
The best place to catch a VT game in Orlando is at Camping World Stadium on Dec 3.

If VT gets to the ACC CG and wins, it would be difficult for a 2 loss ACC Champion to get into the Championship Playoff. I think it would be a reason for the committee to bypass the ACC. Thoughts?
So, let's see (some assumptions on whom gets to the end included here):
Big 10 Champion: OSU/Michigan or Nebraska
Big 12 Champion: Baylor or (OMG!) WVU
SEC Champion: Bama or (maybe) UF (likely Bama)
Pac12 Champion: Washington or Utah
IMHO, this makes it easy for the ACC to get bypassed. I don't want this, just trying to be realistic.
My point is if we beat Clemson in the ACC CG, then the Syracuse loss looms large...
We may not have a shot at the playoff anymore after the Syracuse loss, but if we make it to the ACCCG, a win over Clemson would be HUGE for recruiting and the program as a whole. An ACC title and a NY6 Bowl bid is a ton to play for and would set us up nicely for next season with a ton of momentum. But still, 1-0 next week. Our season starts next Thursday against Pitt.
If we beat Clemson in the ACCCG, then we are likely an 11-2 team headed to a NY6 bowl... IN FUENTE'S FIRST YEAR!!
not to mention after having eeked out 6-6, 6-6, and 8-4 over the last 3 regular seasons
If the choices are ACC Runner-Up and ACC team in the playoff, or ACC Champions and no ACC team in the playoff....
oh well, tough shit, ACC... better luck next year

This is my attitude. The playoffs are already not perfect at four teams, and I want them to be expanded to as many teams as we can get them to. If it was or ever becomes feasible, I would love for a 16- or even 32-team bracket.
I sum my current feelings as thus:
If VT winning the ACC means the ACC somehow suffers, then the ACC can deal with it. Go Hokies!
yeah I'm kind of done with this "conference pride" BS that has run rampant across CFB....that being said, I do like to hate on some conferences collectively (but mostly just to get under fans' skins) but I care much more about VT than anyone else in any league. VT winning the ACC is much more important to me than sending some other ACC team to the playoff. IDGAF about the rest of the conference. VT or bust IMO.
In fact, the faster that this kind of chaos can happen on a regular basis, the sooner that we get an 8 team play off (5 conf champs, 1 G5 and 2 at large is a more than reasonable arrangement)

To be fair to John Swofford, he expanded the ACC (to include Virginia Tech) and kept the ACC relevant in college football AND basketball.
He's not perfect, but he's made some deft moves.

Why wouldn't a one loss Louisville get in at that point? Couldn't a one loss Clemson still get a playoff birth even if that loss happened in the ACC Championship game? I agree that we are effectively out of the playoff picture unless chaos takes over college football.
