Virginia Tech pounded Miami 37-16 Thursday night. The Hokies reasserting themselves in the Coastal Division calls for GIFTORY.

I'll leave you all with Woody slapping Stacy Searels' butt.

Ignore my awkwardly large watermarks and instead enjoy a Wyatt pancake instead!
I don't think you have to pound the pancake mix that hard. Looked more like he was tenderizing meat

It was weird hearing them discuss Searels but never really mention that he was our OL coach last year.
The whiff by Miami's 55 going after Trayvon's legs is hilarious.
The play looked like it should have been dead 10 yards away but Tmac extended it just enough for Wyatt to catch up.
I can't remember which quarter (4th I think) when I was rewatching the game but at 13:51, on a WR screen to Ford, Wyatt decimates a Miami defender
Yes!! i noticed this from my seat at the game at the time. It was the 4th quarter. Nobody else sitting around me saw it but i noticed and was hoping someone on here would put it in a GIF. Someone please hook us up with more teller pancakes.
Just checked that out. It's interesting a lineman can create so many cool highlights.
Jerod Evans had a Logan Thomas type block on that. That was freaking awesome!!!
Logan's block was so crushing they threw a flag out of pity.
Just saw Logan at Sharkeys, in case you forgot he is a BIG man
First comment!Man, this was great. I watched several of these about 10x each. I didn't catch the Woody Baron slapping Searels' butt. That's awesome.What. A. Game. Go HOKIES!
Edit - not first comment. I'll be over here in the corner, crying.
I've said it a couple of times here in different threads, but I'm so happy to see Woody Baron have a break-out game. The kid so deserves it, with the work he's put in. He's not the biggest DL (by any means), but as Bud says, he's "twitchy" as all get out. And, he has a work ethic / motor that can't be denied.
And, for those few of us living in the Nashville area, it's great to see a local kid (Brentwood Academy) playing in O&M. We don't get to see that often. Loving it!
That spin move was classic. I'm not sure there are many o linemen out there that could block that. His hand placement and the speed of the pivot, wow. Nicely done....
I think Lane got the loudest on the Rogers TD Pass. Epic Night!
These games can be such a treat to watch this season. Watching the replays is great.
How about Motu in coverage this week? Almost like a DB.
They actually played the DBU video clip in the stadium after one if his pass breakups. Honorary DBU!
Great job of grabbing all the ones I really wanted to see.! Now ready to watch the game again this weekend.
This is one of those weeks when being a Hokie fan really pays off!
Thanks for the gifs.
Thanks Dozer...beatdown weeks are fun! Loved your Sacksburg count UP!
UM had given up 7 all season, then 8 that night
VT has 20, 8 in that game. We had 6 vs. ECU.
Bye Felicia!
What a fun night.
Spanking Searl's butt
Shout out to Travon for getting just enough of a block to Spring Sam for 20 more yards
Sam "YAC man" Rogers
this is quite possibly the best Giftory I've ever seen. Thank you Billdozer. You're the best.
I like how Foster almost seems disappointed that they didn't get the safety.
Good God, Great Giftory!!!
Gracias,
It was a great win and a fun celebration, now time to focus on Pittsburgh. We need to make sure we take care of business. No letting up! Go HOKIES!
If Bucky could've made it in time and chipped #94 just a tad then Rogers scores on his amazing catch and run play. Can you imagine the lid coming off of Lane if Sam scores on that play?
Side note. I had two guys in town for the game. An OU Sooner and a K-State fan and they fell in love with Sam Rogers. Great to see that #45 is a fan favorite around the country.
I recall even Ohio State fans recognizing the greatness that is Sam Rogers after their loss to us...
UNC fans too "even their fat fullback can catch the ball, but our WR's can't" (or something to that effect)
Watched the replay of the game today, really annoyed that the announcers were shocked when Sam caught and ran the ball well, did they not see this?
I have to give props to #94 on that play. He was the defensive tackle, and he is the one who made the tackle 50 yards down the field. Reminds me of Dadi his freshman (?) year.
Back in the rankings today???
There weren't really any upsets so I would wager no. Win at Pitt Thursday and I'm sure we'play find our way back to the fringe. Plus Penn State will garner a ton of votes now.
I'm guessing on the fringe. I'd prefer that they wait until we beat Pitt (i.e., demonstrate repeat success in back to back games against good teams).
Related to this question: I was hoping that Syracuse would show that their game against us wasn't a fluke. Against BC, they were back to Dungey making poor decisions and inaccurate passes. And their D had a large number of blown assignments. At this point, I have to conclude that they played their perfect game vs VT.
I bet Ark. out Ol Miss out. Good guys back in.
Houston should be out too.
Best Giftory yet, and a great weekend: I was there for my first Thursday night football game, and VT men swim/dive beat Duke, WVa, and WM.
With those scissor kicks, maybe Bud could help coach the swim team? (Uhhh...no!)
"Bye Felicia" was SO perfectly timed...still LMAO at that shade
We're back in!
Was anyone else worried about a late hit flag on Settle on the near-safety? Looked ok on the replay, but live I was thinking "please no..."
I was definitely nervous. Looking at the replay, I think it is one of those that could be justified as a no call, or could also be justified if a flag was thrown. We benefited from the refs judgement on that one.
That first sack, though ... talk about "Meet me at the quarterback"!!!
is a lot like:
what a monster block by number 63.
Just noticed this and couldn't help but laugh as he looks like a really fat cat chasing a mouse.
How about 73 waltzing over to help his teammate off the ground while simultaneously his QB is being pile driven on the turf - as though the end result was pre-destined?
