3:30 on ESPNU is the new Noon on ESPN2.
But with more drinking time.
Same amount of drinking time, you just get to sleep in a bit
Awesome. I thought we were going to get nothing but nooners for the rest of the year. Looks like there is going to be about 4 hours of tailgating in my future.
Hopefully they use a different angle than they used at Syracuse, that felt weird all game.
That's a product of trying to film a football game in a basketball stadium.
That would be because we were playing in a basketball arena.
edit: Great minds think alike.
Thanks, guys!
Isn't this from the Learn to Fly music video?
Yessir
This! I can't tell you how many times I've complained about the camera angle at Syracuse, it totally ruins the game. It's like watching arena football
ok, seriously... This lack of nooners is really starting to get to me...
Speaking of which...gonna pass on the duke game. 5 days at Talladega and this past weekend at Martinsville have taken a major toll on the body and wallet. The liver hasn't failed me, but needs to recoup.
Its all good. Had fun with you for the UNC tailgate, hope we can tailgate together again sometime soon. Hopefully a little drier this time.
This 3:30 stuff really hurts my afternoon hunting plans...
It's been great for my drinking all day plans though.
Was thinking the same thing. Just means I need to put one down in the morning so that the celebratory drinking and the football drinking overlap.
Awesome. I get into town Fri evening. I can take my time in the morning, get some Lefty's, and hit up downtown for a few hrs.
Trying to meet up with Bud? He's been there 2 of the last 3 times I've gone for lunch
What? No six day hold? No trying to figure out when and where?
THANK GOD!!!! Was really scared the only game I go to this season was going to be a nooner!
Can't complain with the 3:30 starts. ESPNU though...
ESPNU sucks because when the noon ABC game inevitably runs long the 3:30 game gets kicked to ESPN2, the ESPN2 game gets kicked to ESPNU and the ESPNU game is streaming only until the noon game ends.
Noon ABC game that week is Oklahoma-Baylor which will probably take a while because all they do is pass. So, yes, sadly you're correct.
I think part of that is only when there's a reverse mirror going on at 3:30, so they have to juggle ABC and ESPN2.
But it also looks like they haven't finalized what the noon games are.
The WatchESPN workaround is not ideal, but you wont miss any game time.
I think I remember missing part of the Syracuse game and I was already watching on WatchESPN.
YES!! I'm going to the game. I get veterans day off (I REALLY hope that's the correct holiday) and now i have plenty of time to get to the 3 tailgates i need to attend. AND now I don't need to worry about getting cold thanks to the liquid warmth I'll be consuming
This is great! We planned to go to this one since September and my 3rd grader has football (playoffs) at TBD Sat AM so the 3:30 kickoff ups the odds that we will be able to make it!
Thank god it's not a noon game..... I'll be in the German Club lot around 8 if anyone's looking to get lit.
And I'll be at a Hokie wedding. Still pissed about it.
#endfallweddings
Ceremony starts at 3:15 also.

I have the same problem vs Duke, but I forgot that it's in San Diego so it technically starts at my noon. Time Zones FTW
No such thing as a Hokie wedding on game day, unless it's taking place in Blacksburg and going to the game before/after/during. I think you're confusing those with "a wedding of someone who went to Virginia Tech but doesn't understand what it means to be a Hokie." /s
remove the "/s" please
Thanks for scheduling your wedding ceremony for 4 o'clock, cousin.
I guess there wasn't a big MTSU game scheduled that weekend.
And this is the game I'm going to....hooooray!!!!
My wedding is on Saturday too.... and I'm a Hokie.....
You chose a heck of a date to get married.
fun fact: My sister's birthday is on Guy Fawkes day
I told my wife when we got engaged that we will not get married in the fall. Spring is lovely.
Original date was 10/01 cuz we had a bye week..... pre-planned
Church messed up and we had all our stuff reserved and paid and to not incur penalties and lose money on a lot of other stuff, we had to use 11/05....
Which was the best option..... turned down the home game dates and had to settle on the last/least away game....
No way in hell I'm missing VT's first trip to ND.
Until I knew last Thursday night's "Dinner" was actually a surprise party where the restaurant moved a big screen into the room so everyone could watch the game, I wasn't thrilled to be turning 30....
bought many beers and tipped graciously for their Hokie Hospitality
