New look to the main Hokie Athletics website. Looks good so far let's see how it operates. Love all the updates and new things Whit is leading the charge on.

We finally have a decent mobile site! It's not perfect, but better than what we had before. It's about time considering the amazing computer science department that VT has.
May look good on a mobile, but there is way too much empty space to use the site on a normal desktop. Seems to be a trend with websites lately. Have to scroll 2x as much to get the same information that was given before.
Looks fine to me... Been noticing a trend of websites designing the desktop version for larger monitors lately.
I don't get this. Do they get a percentage of computer sales?
I like it. You get a full shot of the athletes, or whatever it may be, that they are featuring.
I agree, too many websites still haven't figured out the proper balance of desktop vs. mobile. (TKP has, though.)
It's not bad, especially compared to a lot of other sites I frequent that have "upgraded" recently. The main section I use is the schedule. I like the return of the actual logos for the TV channels, but I think the page would look better if they got their own column next to Time/Result.
I do like the individual series pages, which is a lot easier to read with the larger font now.
I agree. The trend is called mobile first. The idea is that most users access via phones or tablets. The challenge is that you essentially have to design three websites. The desktop version is clunky. Everything is scaled up to comical proportions.

I think it looks great, but I'm not sure it will get me to the information I want more quickly.
I would like to take this opportunity, though, to point out that TKP is very possibly the best interface I've seen for college football message boards.
TKP is best flow and format, but we also like the new Hokiesports Website (except that I can't find a depth chart on it).
The mobile responsiveness is great. The responsiveness and image quality for larger screens is pretty horrible though. Really hope they do something to improve the large screen experience.
Follow up to vtkey's comment;
I like that it actually looks and acts like a mobile site now, but it feels like a 2000s model where I can only see what they want me to see (or care to make available).
This would be passable if the height of the carousel was 50% screen height instead of 100%. I'd imagine any competent web developer will fix this asap. (Or you can hire me Whit... *wink wink nudge nudge*)
