Another week down, 4 more teams dropped from playoff contention per ESPN. And the good guys are still on the list.
As I mentioned last week with this post, not saying or even thinking the Hokies are going to the CFP, but it's an awful lot of fun that we are 10 weeks in still talking about a possibility of it above 0%.
Here is to handling our business against GT and hoping chaos keeps coming.

Also worth noting, there are 4 ACC teams left and only 3 SEC, 3 B1G, and 2 Pac10. Also, one of those SEC teams is A&M who just blew the game against Mstate and won't win their division.
Worse, they flat out just lost the division.
Best case scenario for A&M is to win out, and have Alabama lose out to force a tie at 6-2. Alabama has the head-to-head. If Auburn is in the mix for a three way tie, they would actually win out on the divisional record (only having 1 divisional loss vs. 2 for the other teams).
I was surprised to see aTm still on there. They need Alabama to lose twice to have any chance of winning the West, which is not going to happen. And I can not see a 2 loss non division winner making the playoff

Just noticed Penn State was eliminated in Week 4, and yet they're almost certainly a top-10 team when the CFP rankings are released tomorrow night, and I know it's highly unlikely but Michigan is only an upset by either Iowa or Indiana and a loss to aOSU away from handing the division to PSU (assuming they beat Indiana, Rutgers, and Michigan State).
Considering Mich has to play in the shoe, I could see them dropping that game easily. I doubt they drop another to Indiana or Iowa but those teams are definitely not pushovers so you never know. I would love to see ohio state and Michigan both get botched from the big ten championship and consequently, the playoffs after such stellar seasons for both. That's college football right there.
