Our long national nightmare is over ... Virginia Tech is finally playing games in Lane again. Welcome to Week 11, another ho-hum week, but as always something magical could and likely will happen. My gaze is focused on Udub.

In Bud we trust. A banged up DL, a short handed group of defensive backs, against the most unique offense Tech faces all year. Trust he'll figure out a way to slow the jackets down.
Saturday, November 12th
Baylor at 11 Oklahoma -16.5
12:00 pm ABC
- OU (on offense at least) finally looks like the team we thought they were going to be to start the season. The defense is still iffy, because you know B12 that's a requirement for full league member payout. Baylor will score
- Baylor busted out the black unis last week to protest the firing of Art Briles. The Bears took a due whooping for it. KARMA. Let's hope they take it wearing the all whites too
Pick: Baylor getting the points, losing by two touchdowns.

/Two Claps and a Ric Flair Woooo 1:52
UNCLE LOU Guarantee 2:04
/Fail Cobra + Deafening Silence. 2:21-4:10 - LIke OU, Auburn has rallied from a poor start. Gus Malzahn is back to being a magician, maybe. He's made Sean White a capable QB and once again has a great ground game to go with a new wrinkle, a good defense
Pick: Auburn by at least 10. Give the Tigers two claps and Ric Flair.
***
Pittsburgh at 2 Clemson -21.5
3:30 pm ABC
- Hey Dabo, after Clemson wins and you hold your 5 minute sermon about the special toughness of your Tigers, please say a prayer for Pat Narduzzi ... he'll need the help
- Ever wonder what a Fitbit or heart rate monitor would look like on a coach?. On a chill coach like Fuente we wouldn't know, on Narduzzi you'd think he was running wind sprints for 3 hours
Pick: Clemson is rounding into form, their DL will control the LoS and their passing game is going to torch those corners.
***
Wake Forest at 6 Louisville -34.5
7:00 pm ESPN2

- When Bobby Petrino is taking the side of sportsmanship and not RUTS'ng an opponent, I do a double take. That motorcycle fall, scrambled his brain?
- Wake Forest is that team that is hard to take seriously. Sure game film say, coached well, nice record, dosn't beat themselves even with ok talent, but they are Wake Forest
Pick: WF getting the points, it will be closer than than that spread, because it's Wake and the Cards won't totally respect them.
***
Minnesota at 19 Nebraska -7.5
7:30 pm BTN
- I'm almost embarrassed to put Nebraska back in the P6 this week, after the shellacking they just took. Will they man up or will they let Ohio State beat them twice?
- Minnesota is 7-2, not ranked. A quick glance at their schedule: a solid win versus Maryland and 6 more versus schools that couldn't win the Kansas JUCO league. That's still bowl eligible, win a couple more and the B1G Ten West title is possible
Pick: Nebraska coming home, picking themselves up and smashing the Gophers. Football is weird like that.
***
20 USC at 4 Washington -9.5
7:30 pm FOX

- Jake Browning to John Ross is as good a QB-WR combo in all of college football. Ross is electric, if you don't press him, he gone. If you miss the line bump and the safety isn't over the top to help, He Gone. Hell, you could play he correct, he still might be gone. Coach Pederson has Browning in a groove reminiscent of his ex-Boise State QBs
- The Trojans have turned the corner for the season ... maybe more? Freshman QB Sam Donald has the offense lit. If the defense can get some traction, could they maybe, possibly knockoff the no. 4 team?
Pick: USC keeping it around a TD. Both teams are going to score, a break here or there for USC and I can see them winning in Seattle.

Beer of the Week:

Green Flash VB
Before Stone built, before Deschutes and Ballast Point announced, Green Flash chose Virginia to be their east coast home. This weekend, they hard open and I welcome them. I happy for 757, happy for my friends who work/brew there and happy a big boy is on the scene down here. CHEERS.
Picks are against the spread.

Sooners in the Nooner (Probably one of the best Noon teams of all time. They just do lunch right.)
War Eagle - They just got caught looking ahead last week.
Fighting Dabos
Torn here, but going with Wake. Think they can keep it within 30 with the Coach Cut formula. Plus they're not bad on D.
Huskers cover.
UDub covers this like a warm flannel blanket
Baylor at Oklahoma -16.5 - OU continues the anti-Baylor karma train.
Auburn -9.5 at Georgia - WDE, Auburn wins the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry (seriously look it up)
Pittsburgh at Clemson -21.5 - Clemson will torch Pitt CB's with Williams and Scott.
Wake Forest at Louisville -34.5 - LJ puts up big numbers to pad his Heisman campaign.
Minnesota at Nebraska -7.5 - Neb comes home licking their wounds, but doesn't blow out the gophers
USC at Washington -9.5 - Wheels ON the bus in USC, and tons of talent.

Beer: This is one of those weird weekends where I don't have a homebrew ready for a game. I can't part with my Belgian sours yet, either. Maybe I'll drink my last Three Floyds beer, Blot out the Sun, a Cognac barrel aged Imperial stout.

Baylor at Oklahoma -16.5 - Scuttlebutt has it there's a tirefire in Waco, just soon enough for OK
Auburn -9.5 at Georgia - Quality of teams doesn't matter in this matchup, Dawgs sic war tigers
Pittsburgh at Clemson -21.5 - Tigers ascend to their final championship form
Wake Forest at Louisville -34.5 - Bowl-eligible Deacs exist solely to keep it close against superior teams
Minnesota at Nebraska -7.5 - Gophers are true champions of the Broken Chair
USC at Washington -9.5 - Trojans are actually good now, but Huskies continue to roll
Beer of the week:
