This is going to be a great chance for Sam to impress some scouts. Still hope if it doesnt work out he comes back as a graduate assistant coach.

I haven't been paying attention to many teams outside of Blacksburg this year, but is there a (nominal) fullback with his receiving and open field skills in college football?

Sam Rogers doesn't get invited to the senior bowl. Sam invites the senior bowl so Sam Rogers can play.

Phil Savage, former GM and scout in the NFL, as well as current color commentator for Alabama games on the radio, runs the Senior Bowl. I'm friends with him and just shot him a text to keep his eye on Sam.

Edit: Phil's response: "Blood and guts player, we like him."

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
