Sam Rogers: Future Ginsu Endorsement in the Works

I don't know how many of you follow the beat media on Twitter, but Bud Foster had potentially the best quote ever on describing Sam Rogers yesterday. I haven't seen it in other threads here yet, so.... Without reigniting the Bitter debate on TKP over Andy, here's how Bud described Sam:

I saw that and was like "what!?!", our coaches are usually good for some great quotes.

Definitely ranks in the top five Bud quotes ever.

"I thought the kid right there you're talking to right there played his nuts off. You can quote me on that shit, too. Played his ass off. Fought his ass off." - Bud Foster

You read my mind. This will always be #1.

I was right next to him when he said that. It was one of the scariest moments of my life.

This was after that Cincinnati loss, right?

I was so drunk and heartbroken

No it was a 2012 regular season loss, maybe Pitt

Chuck Pagano used this line three years ago when describing Trent Richardson. I think it applies to Sam Rogers a lot better.

(Colts fan who named his fantasy team after this line)

"Welcome to the Terror Dome." -- Corey Moore

Can we get this in the quote rotation on the site footer?

The Orange and Maroon you see, that's fighting on to victory.

So Sam Rogers is going to be the new Weapon X after Logan? Seems legit

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
“I served in the United States Navy"

Some of you guys are great at adding gifs, but I thinking Bud sees Sam as:

Battleship! Seriously underrated movie!

True story: When we first got married in '73, wife and I were as poor as could be and still make it through school. We got a little money from the wedding and got snared by the Ginsu commercials on our tiny little b&w TV with the bicycle wheel rim for an antenna. As unlikely as it may be, we still have a half dozen of them in the drawer, all these years later. If memory serves me right, the deciding pitch was that the carving knife could "Slice ham so thin, your in-laws will NEVER come back". Now, I'll admit that after decades of being washed in the dishwasher, a couple of them are finally looking like the handles might soon be defunct, but the blades are still sharp and we just have had them so long, we can't bear to chuck 'em.
If Sam is half as tough as those Ginsu knives, he'll be slashing for some time to come. To all of you, and for myself and my family, I hope we all can stay as sharp for as long as those cheap knives.

Reel men fish on Wednesdays

That's worth a baker's dozen legs... At least one of which is for not being the only TKP'er that remembers the Ginsu commercial.

And no surprise there, it's Wally Lancaster with an airball that looked gorgeous on its way to nowhere...

He looks like a lion yawning...

We put the K in Kwality

That's pretty much what Sam will be like running against LOLUVA's "defense" this Saturday, a yawning lion. Amirite?
