The comment "they're better than us but still mediocre"...wow. 52-10 bro.
Reminds of 2011 and the salty App St players making a comment to the effect of "they're not elite we just didn't play good" after crushing them 66-13.
edit to include link: http://content.usatoday.com/communities/campusrivalry/post/2011/09/virgi...
Except LOLUVA WISHES they were as talented and good as '11 FCS opponent Appy St.
Colonoscopy comparison on their board was hilarious:

I'll take "mediocre" and 13 straight years and ACC titles vs. pooping the bed every damn season. Geez their pretentious asses just won't give it a rest.
If dropping 52 points and dominating every aspect of a football game is "mediocre", I've never been happier with mediocrity in my life.
If that kind of mediocrity is wrong, I don't wanna be right.
The beatings will continue until douchebaggery decreases
I guess that would mean beatings in perpetuity since there is ABSOLUTELY no cure for that douchebaggery!
Totally agree! Would it be too much to ask that Fuente stays in Bburg 29 years? Bud will be about 80 but he could beat LOLUVA in his sleep!
Very impressed with how this team finished the regular season. Wow--9-3 with more football still to play. Hope this is a start of many wonderful Hokie moments!
Go Hokies!
I cringe every time I read "Fuentes"
I disagree. Today was not sad.
Their talent level is so bad and Bronco isn't known as a good recruiter. Maybe they get lucky and find a QB that makes them much better, but the early returns are really bad for them.
I'd be more interested to hear why he gave up in the 3rd qt, going for a fg instead of a TD.
He didn't want to get shut out I think
Yeah, Bronco's going to have a tough time figuring out how to get 25 year olds with eligibility.
They will actually be a far less talented squad next year. Let that sink in for a minute...
Are Brown and Blanding expected to leave? Or, did playing for UVA drop their NFL stock so low that they need to play out their career?
We couldn't have hired a better coach. We were talking about Chad Morris last year. He's won 4 games in the last 2 years. We were talking about Matt Rhule. Meh. Herman. He would just have been waiting to be sniped by SEC or some Texas school. Rich Rod. Please.
I know it gets said in pretty much every post on TKP, but Whit knocked it out of the park.
Herman was probably the only guy, but like you said, it would have been a short stay.
Fuente has been such a good fit. Hopefully he sticks it out thru the big offers he may be getting next year (ATM?). If we can win early, maybe he will realize we provide everything he needs.
Morris would've been excellent too - he's done more with less at SMU than anyone could have imagined. That's like saying after two years of Fuente at Memphis that he's a bad coach. We clearly see that's not the case.
I would say could've (rather than would've) been excellent. Fuente had already made Memphis decent when we hired him. SMU is turning around, but I'm not sure where the ceiling is. I'm happy we didn't roll the dice on Morris. Fuente is such an excellent fit for our program.
They must be drinking some salty Zima.
When has LOLUVA football been better than us?
No response? That's what I thought.
Fuente is here to stay. The way he involves and treats CFB. Did you see him get emotional when #SMFR came out at Senior Day? He is fully invested in VT and his family in the Blacksburg community. Unless something goes south or sideways, he is here at least until his girls graduate high school! #Enjoytheride.
How old is his youngest?
I don't understand the comment about the lack of talent for BM to work with. I thought the running theme over the Mike London era was convincing top VA talent to go there and loose over picking us.
Also, I can't see BM without hearing bowel movement.
This has been so obvious in some of the quotes I've seen from Bronco post game.
1.
At least he's honest.
2.
What logic is this? There are a ton of players that work hard, doesn't mean you throw them into scenarios bigger than they are. This mindset loses you games.
3.
Yeesh.
It's like he thought of this game as an exhibition.
But, shuttling QBs and OL that frequently isn't a great strategy even if this was a scrimmage.
This is perfect. As a VT fan, I'm in love with his coaching philosophy! Someone should set up neverfirebronco.com.
Ok...so I know we are all in a "fuck UVA" craz right now...but I saw nothing wrong with any of those quotes from Bronco.
He's easily the most likablethey have had since Welsh.
That said, I think their program is kinda fucked under him for the next two or three seasons.
Objectively (as possible), we are working to make up for past recruiting misses that have cost us in quality depth and even quality starters in a few spots. UVA is facing that situation times ten. They have no depth and lack quality starters across the board except for the occasional exception. Turning UVA into a competitive team in the ACC is going to take a lot of work and a lot of time.
Quotes aren't the problem. He's being honest. The issue is the decisions he made. When has a two QB system worked well like this? I'm still amazed we worked it as well as we did in 07. And the idea of throwing a guy in because he's worked hard is ridiculous to me, Brewer hasn't played better than Benkert or Johns all season. Just boneheaded decisions.
They were down like 30 points. There really is no reason not to let the guy get some more experience. I really think some of us are being sore winners here and nit picking.
I think its more he's still establishing a culture, which takes a longer time than most people think. Last few years I think everyone in the UVA would say that they were lazy and didn't work hard. What better way to show people that working hard gets you something then to play the guy who is busting his ass at practice? Plus its not like either Benkert or Johns played all that well at any point this year and its Brewer's last college game.
Sure 52-10 is a good thing to make fun of and rub in their faces but they'll be much improved soon. How many guys on that team would get snaps for tech/decent ACC team? Brown, Kiser, Blanding, Mizell and maybe Dowling or Levrone? I'm sure I'm forgetting someone. This is a team that hit rock bottom this year in terms of talent.
I've always thought that Mendenhall is a solid coach who will have UVA as a pretty middle of the pack, 6-6 to 8-4 type team once/if he gets it going. Biggest question for me is if he will be able to get talent there, big tell will be the next recruiting class.
Cue the nut punch GIF!
Reading up on another Lahoo forum its so amazing the stuff you read
#firebronco
The 'backup school'
'When you put in 3 qbs its obvious you dont know what you are doing'
'Why didnt we put in 3 qbs earlier'
The ones that care are losing their minds.
I'm sad that The Sabre is so poorly constructed that I can't effectively read their sorrow...
I have that thought every time I go on there to drink their tears! Have no clue what I'm looking at.
They are too busy polishing their rowing trophies to worry about website design. Haven't you heard they have national championships man!
Right? I've never used this word to describe a website before, but that place is putrid.
Pro tip: Sportswar forums (I.e. The Sabre and TSL) are much easier to follow on a mobile browser. It'll show you the subject line and the actual post content so you don't have to click each post to see if there is any real content to it.
But there's rarely any content to the posts. They like to snipe it all in the header.
No wonder they don't know anything over there. No room to be in depth.
Does make excellent bathroom reading material.
Computer room at The Sabre:
God do I love Le Scissors, but I will give Bronco credit for one thing. Watch the post game presser, dude straight up jumped on a grenade with the press, knew he was gonna get roasted and did. Took up for his kids and blamed himself, timecop usually blamed the kids.

Personnelling. How cute.
Personnelling is UVa talk for QBs sharing sacks.
I didn't think they were going to have to share after The Motu hit. Been to a bunch of games at Lane, one of the few collective "ooooh's" I've heard in a while.
So much salt over there I'm going to need to change my diet for a week.
Oh, also couldn't help but see the numerous comments whining about the game experience and all the "redneck non-alumni fans"... Which, I mean setting aside the fact there might have been 200 Hoo fans in Lane, tops making the odds incredibly low any of those idiots were actually there, I must remind everyone that their own Board Host and website founder, Mike Ingalls never attended UVA and went to PVCC instead... Not that there's anything wrong with non alumni fans, but the hypocrisy over there is palpable.
Oh, and we had one loud mouth Hoo next to us. Was up in everyone's face when they were collecting a couple first downs to open the game. By the end of the first quarter he was silent, by the middle of the second he was openly crapping on his own team and bailed on the game at halftime.
You weren't in North end zone section EE, were you? If not his doppelganger was 3 rows behind us.
We did however talk to a 20 yo current LOLUVA student who was great to interact with (prob because his big bro is a VT grad).
I reside in Beamersville and trust me, I would rather attend and get a 2 yr degree from PVCC than a doctorate from Jefferson's Place.
Uh no. I'd much rather have a doctorate from uva.
Cmon guys. Let's not go overboard...
Well, I can agree with that, I'd rather have that doctorate, but the qualifier is to "attend". I can understand drawing the line there.
This one was also excellent....
http://chat.virginia.sportswar.com/mid/8238586/board/football/
The Sabre is a great place to roast marshmallows... if you don't mind the dumpster fire taste.
I think if Buzzketball can start sweeping the Hoo's each year then they may completely fall apart.
My basketball goal for this year is for us to win at Charlottesville on Feb 1. This sets up a sweep 11 days later when they come to the Cassell. I already have tickets.
Oh yea, and as always

OK we will smoke them in wrestling. BB not so sure. That should be Whit's next project. Though they are sprucing up English Field.
In addition occasionally cruising the Sabre, I usually record their games to watch for FFPs (funny fan pictures).
The post game pressers have had a trend all year, basically Bronco would report that the kids weren't grasping the concepts, and he would be forced to dumb down the game plan. IMO he has thrown them under the bus all year long.
Isn't this a bit ironic, given that they claim to be elite level smart on all fronts? IMO (after this game) Bronco may not be as smart as he thinks he is.
