So the SEC had the weakest schedule and the worst record, but are still the best because they had to play each other. /s

And it would have been weaker still, had Florida not bought out Presbyterian and LSU not bought out South Alabama so that they could make up their hurricane rainout.
I get that this has been a down year for the SEC. I've certainly enjoyed it but I'm waiting to see if this is a flash-in-the-pan or an actual shift in power...I would like to see the SEC struggle with OOC play for a few years in a row
But Alabama won't and they'll all put their eggs in the 'SEC' basket as if they are all Alabama fans and the conference is still great.
Given the disparity in money and recruiting, this likely won't be long term. In the SEC, they have teams that are 6-7th in the conference recruiting like our 3rd-4th team and then our drop-off is significant. Right now the ACC has the benefit of some elite players, particularly QB's to make the offenses more exciting, and some good coaches to mitigate talent issues (Babers at Syracuse, for example) but since 2000 we have a losing record to every P5 conference existing or former, and the SEC has a winning record against all of those. A shift in power is certainly possible, but in the modern era of football, it seems to suggest this is a flash in the pan.
I agree. It is really hard to recruit against the top half of the SEC. While having the best talent doesn't ALWAYS turn into results, it is where you start.

We also weren't favored in our game, and I believe they were both large favorites in theirs.
UNC was favored over Illinois but a small dog against Georgia.
They would have won had Fedora not forgotten AGAIN that he has RB's.

Great numbers there. ACC is a real balanced conference with some good teams.
