Kid's got some skills on display in that mixtape on his Twitter.
But if he's actually 6'8," he's either grown a bit since most of those clips, or he's playing against some grown-ass men in high school
His high school essentially plays on the Academy circuit, only playing the top teams in the country, like IMG and others. Its where Thon Maker played his last two seasons. Interesting side note is that Thon Maker's little brother Matur is no longer playing at Orangeville, but has transferred back to the original school Thon played at, Carlisle School in Martinsville, VA. Have to wonder what the guardian got offered to bring him back to Carlisle or maybe there were less questions on education at Carlisle, now that the guardian has Thon in the pro's.
Gotcha, makes more sense now why he looks like the same size as a lot of his competition.
Matur maker?

Buzz is in some desperate need a few quality bigs, the current team is fun to watch but the lack of size is an issue.
Dont expect this to change very much under Buzz. All of his years at Marquette, he rarely had a deep bench of bigs. He has always favored the fast, athletic, great shooting team over having size down low. It also comes down to hitting on the ones he has gotten.
So far, Pierce and Henry were busts, Van Zegeren couldnt get on board, neither could Trevor Thompson. Blackshear injury now coupled with Hamilton as a bust/injury has left Buzz with essentially one big for all three years.
Next year, you have the potential for Blackshear, Sy, younger Leday, and Fullard. Thats three 6'10 guys and a bulky Seth Leday. Not sure Buzz is going to use his one remaining scholarship this season unless he finds a solid transfer that needs it for a year so be prepared to go forward with those four as your potential "Bigs".
What are you expecting from Fullard?
Not much at all, but what have I expected from quite a few of the bigs that have come through here in the last few seasons? Honestly, I would be happy with he does enough to warrant being on the floor to offer a breather or be an emergency support feature when we have extreme foul trouble in "BIG LAND", something along the lines of "can rebound, and doesnt stop the shooters on offense", less than that means he is just practice fodder taking over from Donlon.
I still am surprised Donlon didnt get some time against The Citadel though. Buzz loves the kid, even has hired him on as the GA the next two seasons so I am curious why he isnt at least throwing him some garbage time.
I'm also surprised that Donlon didn't get any playing time. I expected him to go in around the 3-4 minute mark given our lead. If things started to go downhill too quickly, Buzz could've just yanked him.
There were quite a few people in the stands (where I was sitting anyway) wondering out loud why he wasn't being put in, and 2-3 tried to start a chant of his name with about a minute to go. Didn't gain any traction as most people were heading for the portals.
Well if you go with athletic guys that can shoot over bigs (and I know this from experience) you better shoot pretty damn good and hope you never have a bad shooting night. You need bigs to complete at the top level.
I really thought Novas title would quiet this line of thinking.
Hey Peter, interested to know your thoughts on whether the good guys have a legit chance of landing this recruit. Knowing next to nothing about B-ball recruiting, it obviously is a position of need for us, so Buzz can sell that reality. Beyond that, would be curious to know if we have any other selling points with this young man other than our "up and coming ACC program" status.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts, and btw, love reading your coverage of Hokie Hoops.
In terms of competition, I would say Oregon and Baylor are our toughest so far but he is only a junior and already has more than 10 D I offers. I am not sure what his expectations are as a European coming through Canada. He does seem to envision himself in a multi role winger type slot which works to an area of Strength in terms of Buzz demonstrating a high use of those kind of players and reaching back to his Marquette days, the ability to put those players in the pros. We will have to see what happens with Hill and Clarke on whether they are garnering NBA attention as Buzz tries to close in on a commitment from this player.
Seriously skilled dude. Natural with either hand around basket. You could see Buzz having him run the point even at 6-8 with his handle. Typical sweet European shooting stroke. I'll bet his offers explode
Updated with two new offers Buzz put out
Updated with Trey Wertz offer
247 had a list of all the guys in town. Lot's of Top100 prospects in for the game as well as some top commits
Can you post the list?
Also, any word on how they enjoyed the win and visit?
this was tweeted before the game:
Monster offer list for McCormack. Buzz playing with the blue bloods
Watching us obliterate a blue blood at home certainly helps our case!
What a list! Hopefully they liked the product on the court as much as us fans did.
Got a CB for PJ Horne
A teammate of Pig Jackson. Looks like he doesn't have an offer, so maybe a prefered walkon? Film doesn't jump out at you, but seems to be an undersized OKG with a motor--something Buzz loves.
OKG? - help me out here?
"Our kind of guy"
A Buzz William special...Leday, Robinson, Hill, Crowder, Butler, ect.
