I'm so proud of this team. After what might have been the worst first half of football we have played in a while, we finish strong and dominate to score 35 unanswered points. Unbelievable. So stoked to get back to 10 wins (!) and looking forward to seeing this team evolve going forward. However, we really need to quit the slow starts. Also, OL is incredibly disappointing. I noticed we didn't run the ball but a handful of times the second half. Something needs to be addressed here.
I hope these coaches can build off of this 10 win season and close out our recruiting class strong. We need work in a lot of areas, but I'm optimistic going forward. Go Hokies, and Happy 2017 to everyone!

I am just beyond ecstatic. The LPD brought it in the second half and the offense fed off that energy. I love this team and I am looking forward to the future.
On a more poignant note, this should not be overlooked:
VT's social media team has been using that for a couple of years. First time I saw it was when the players were delivering season tickets in and around Blacksburg. Pretty funny that they're still using it.

I told my 8 year-old (who was past ready to go home and play video games) at halftime that we were not leaving because he was going to tell his own kids about this comeback win one day. Then the 2nd half happened. Felt similar to the conversation with his older brother at Columbus a few years ago. The Hokies taught another life lesson tonight....never give up.

I had a sick kid and a sick wife today so our viewing plans went from big TV at the grandparents to me streaming the game on my laptop and the first half pissed me off so much I had to shut it down. As I did I thought, "Watch: now they'll mount the biggest comeback ever and I'll have missed it."

I loved Cam Phillips getting MVP for the game. He has really been under-hyped this year but quietly put together an awesome season. He was what, 17 yards shy of 1,000 yards for the year? Besides he seems like a great rep for Hokie Nation.

Fun fact, I ended up sitting next to Sam Rogers' kindergarten bible school teacher during part of the game. She said that she and her husband had been to all 14 games this season traveling around in a gameday camper. Talk about FAM!
