This is honestly the best thing to happen from a transfer QB recruiting standpoint:
Come to VT. The rest of our division blows. If you're at least mediocre, you'll play Clemson/FSU/Louisville in the ACC championship game next year.
I'll welcome a transfer AB if it comes to that, but man, I really just want a homegrown young guy like Jackson to be our QB.
I'd rather win the coastal.
I think we can do that with a young QB though. If we are dependent on a transfer QB to succeed, the coaches have not set up this team to win. Plus, I don't think any transfer this year is on Evan's level to begin with.
We relied on a transfer this year to win....coaches have been here a year so if they feel a transfer puts us in the best position to win next season while allowing hooker to RS and see what they have in Jackson then so be it.
Yeah but Evans was a god in JUCO. There isn't anyone like that right now. Is rather just take a chance on a young guy and live through the growing pains.

I trust Bud and co to make his life a living hell in his first game back in nearly two years. His actual game experience is very limited too. I would actually be more worried about Skyler Howard, believe it or not.

WVU loses a lot of starters, sure. I think the prediction may be more based on our level of play for opening games at neutral sites. The list is too long.

With all due respect, Duane Lawson was not and is not a P5/ACC level QB- on or off the field- at all. Illinois, notwithstanding as that will play out too- he won't be the starting QB for the Illini anytime soon.. anyway, Fuente took about 3 minutes to ask "what is this kid doing here"? when first interacting with Lawson. VT had no interest in him at all once Lefty was fired. Non factor
