The tournament coincides with the first weekend of spring break for VT students. Head on down to support the outstanding Lady Hokies basketball team and then hop over to the beach.

On that note I don't know how interested I'd be in going to Conway for any reason other than to drive past it to get to MB. Seems like every time I watch the local news down there it's about someone getting stabbed in Conway.

Without googling the only fencing terms I know are thrust and parry. The only reason I know that is from an episode of Home Improvement where Wilson and his girlfriend are fencing when Tim interrupts them to ask for advice. That should would always leave me in stitches.

Hate to break it to you but the stabbing s take place in the city of Myrtle Beach. Besides most of the hotels you would have to stay at are closer to the beach anyway.
So if you come down here for the game or just to visit the beach stay in: North Myrtle Beach, Surfside, Horry County or Pawleys Island, Garden City. Cheaper tax rate, less people less crime.
Oh I know, my family comes down there every year and I have relatives in NMB. Usually stay on the far north side of Ocean Blvd. and don't go south of the boardwalk.

That law... is going to allow Virginia Tech to win the first ACC Women's Basketball Tournament to be held in South Carolina in over 20 years!
