Virginia Tech will not have Seth Allen today against Florida State, source told ESPN. Concussion protocol following loss to NC State.— Jeff Goodman (@GoodmanESPN) January 7, 2017
He got a concussion during the NC State game apparently. Not sure of accuracy of reports on Khadim Sy, anyone else know if he'll play?

That is most unfortunate.
The injury occurred during the NC State game, on a play that I believe was not called a foul. Could be wrong; I couldn't watch the game but was reading comments about it.
That was one play that shouldn't have been a foul. He went head to shoulder of a fellow Hokie on the play (I forget who it was, I want to say Clarke, but that's just a guess) and it led to a fast break score. Allen was on the ground for a good 15-20 seconds after contact. Surprised the coaches let him continue after the play, to be honest.
I read that Sy was at shoot around. No odd whether he plays or not.
Allen didn't make the trip and is in Blacksburg.
Damn, definitely not good.
I expect to see Devin Wilson make his debut with Allen out. As for Sy, I had also heard he was out but he did participate in all the shootarounds and will be a game time decision. Even if he plays, he likely will be limited and any tweak to the ankle would probably end his day as a precautionary move.
Fuck dammit! Well, hope for a good game and big show from Wilson. We're gonna need it. Ready or not...GO HOKIES!!!
