I didn't really see a thread that would make sense for me to comment on, so here I am.
NC State won AT Duke tonight. Huge resume booster for us after our loss to the Pack. I really doubt a win over Duke will lose quality, so not that worried about that aspect.
NC State stormed back from 12 down in the last few minutes and won by 2. They only really made it that close because they couldn't handle a press/make free throws.
As of tonight at this moment, VT has a better overall record than Duke, a better ACC record than Duke, and has beaten Duke. Buzzketball is in full effect.

Duke fans currently using unc logic that "This season doesn't really count since K is missing so much time." I reiterate, that school does not deserve David Cutcliffe.

I'm sure that if the season doesn't start to turn around, Coach K will need to take the rest of the year off and all these losses won't go on his record.

And it hurts me to say, but I do like Jeff Capel and I hate that he will be a scapegoat. The positive is that we know of one loss this season that will count against his record, and that is one that we put there.
I've also heard the "Our prized true freshmen have all been battling injuries."
I can only hope that a home loss to unranked NC State will drop them from the top 25, but probably not.
NCAA rules regarding men's basketball rankings: Kentucky, UNC, and Duke must be ranked at all times, regardless of record.
But Duke, therefore will be ranked higher than us next week.
As they should be. Their resume is still better than ours. We barely beat GT and Clemson.
If we beat UNC on Thursday, than we will have an argument to be over Duke.

Actually I believe they have only beaten one ranked opponent, and have much worse-looking ACC losses than us. Unless you want to count Kansas as a token "quality loss," I say our resume is better.

Been saying it all season long, Dennis Smith Jr is the best player in the country.
I saw him play vs Wake on Saturday and he didn't look like it. But he is quite good.
As one would expect, the game included Grayson being a female hygiene product.
that's totally blown out of proportion. I mean, Allen has the right to break up another team's huddle and try to walk through an opposing player.

I give this one a shoulder shrug. Allen didnt go out of his way to get mixed up in their huddle. When the whistle blew on that play he was along that baseline and could have made a wide swath to avoid it but he essentially walked a straight line. Grayson also didnt react when Henderson tried to take it further. Henderson also had a forearm across Grayson's throat there.
Later in the game, I was impressed he didnt respond to when the NC State guy mauled him for a foul underneath. It was like a combination NFL tackle and WWE Wrestling takedown all in one. I thought the guy should have gotten a technical but #goacc.
I can't disagree more. You don't intentionally walk through another team's huddle esp when it's at their bench and you don't intentionally walk through a person who is standing in a spot.
He essentially was in their huddle from when the whistle blew. He would have had to go through someone to get back to his bench. Neither player made an attempt to give ground and both NC State players still had six to eight feet to walk forward to actually be in their huddle. These kinds of things happen in every game, but this got focus because it was Allen. The short clip they showed was to stir the pot, because the actual game footage shows a lesser story.

Florida State shot 28% from the floor. 20 of 71 shots. Weirder part is that GT only credited with six total blocks. They shot even worse from outside at 24%. Kinda hard to win that way.
