Drew Harris is a negative. Fisher and Reid are greyshirting at Fork Union I believe, at least I know Fisher is. They should both be on board for the 2014 class.

Honestly, the Drew Harris ship has sailed as far as I'm concerned and I believe F$U gave him an offer. Fisher's going to FUMA and will probably return to Blacksburg in the fall (ala Jonathan McLaughlin). I wasn't able to find anything on Reid. Maybe someone can do better than I can?

And Jefferson too, right? All three of those players are significant talents. Harris is gone, but we're playing 3 freshman RB's right now with Reid and Williams coming in....maybe (but probably not) Shai McKenzie too.

With the 4 RBs we have played this year and the potential 3 we could have for next year, RB should be pretty good for us. I hope Shane is able to look at a guy and say, you just aren't as good as so and so right now so he is going to see the field. Not having a clear #1 on the field for the bulk of the game is hurting us I think. Edmunds should be out there unless he needs a rest come ACC play.

conventional wisdom says Harris will never enroll at VT, but I saw a post on TSL that indicated that a coach told a large audience only a couple weeks ago that Harris would be enrolling fall 2014.

2 years of playing time is plenty of time for a RB to make his mark, especially if he can redshirt, though I do not know if Harris would be able to RS in this situation. Regardless, the second year in a program is often times the payoff year for a RB, as VT's success with RS freshmen RB's has demonstrated in the past. Honestly though I will be shocked to ever see Harris in a VT uniform. Pleasantly shocked...

Me too. The straw I'm grasping at is that the veteran with the youtube video, (Rodrigquez?) was going to be allowed to walk on after completing his Associates Degree. He was a non-qualifier out of H.S. too. That is the guy that Clemson stole by making a big deal of pursuing a waiver from that Associates Degree requirement for him.
Anyway, he was basically a JUCO recruit, and if we were ready to let him on the team, after he became NCAA-eligible, why not Harris?

Did you see that girl that's recruiting Shai for us? We got this.

So give him the turkey legs!
Well, I guess it happened.
Shai also named VT his favorite.

Yeah and he would only have 2 years of eligibility left. It seems like a long shot though.
