The time of the event has yet to be set up.
Garbutt will choose between finalists Virginia Tech and Pittsburgh.

Ever since the rumor started that Nathan Proctor was "announcing" today between VT and Pitt, there was a small part of me that worried about a flip. Then when I saw Garbutt will announce Friday, it feel like there's a possibility that Pitt is trying to manufacture some momentum. Proctor and Garbutt on consecutive days would be huge, for either program.
Basically, if Proctor "announces" for us today (or doesn't announce at all, since, y'know, he already announced for us), then I'll feel a lot better about Garbutt. If Proctor flips, my gut says we miss out on Garbutt.
Have we actually seen it confirmed outside of that one guy on twitter that there will be an announcement tonight? Sorry, but 12 hours later, and the only evidence I see that this will happen is an out of left field twitter comment that hasn't been confirmed by anyone else. To me, that reeks of fabricated poo.
Yup, and that's why I think no announcement is the most likely outcome, followed by an "announcement" for us. I don't think a flip is likely, it's just the first thing I thought when I saw that tweet. And if Proctor were to flip, I think Garbutt goes to Pitt.
Just my opinion but I feel like this "announcement" will just be a tweet reaffirming his commitment to the good guys. Anything above that would have some traction somewhere on the interwebs if it were happening.

Garbutt officially announces tomorrow. Per a questionable source on a Pitt message board, Proctor supposedly "announces" between us and Pitt today.
According to 247, Procter reaffirmed his commitment to Tech today.
Everything about that looks like it was fabricated by that guy from the Pitt board. Yesterday he tweeted Proctor would announce today, today he tweets that his coach confirmed Proctor's a Hokie. Someone was cruising for clicks.
