Memories like this make me want football back even faster.

Is it September yet?

Tyrod to Danny will remain the most improbable and amazing play I've ever seen with my own eyes.

"Tyrod did it, Mikey!"

Any way to link the exact timer for the videos? The xavier adibi one is the full game.

No, I *don't* want to go to the SEC. Why do you ask?

We don't love dem Hoos.

I feel like we need a bigger bracket for this one. Macho's 100 yard KR, Tyrod skirts the sideline against Stanford, Tyrod to Boykin TD on 4th down vs Boise State, Eddie Royal TD vs Miami to seal ACC crown? I feel like there's more that deserve to be in this

They'll really get after ya

I thought of that, but I wanted to do just 1 from each year. Some years had wayyyyy more awesome plays than others

Never Forget #1 Overall Seed UVA 54, #64 UMBC 74

I see 16 years 16 plays, makes sense

They'll really get after ya

Why not make it 25?

Ugh that Andre Davis vs. Logan Thomas... that was TOUGH.

And let me use this say: Mike Tirico does way better with college football than NFL. He captures the excitement so much better.

I have no idea why my username is VT_Warthog.

Arkansas blew a 24-0 lead in the Belk Bowl.

My personal top 2 are Wayne Ward's block (part of Andre Davis' 3rd quarter) and the 2001 punt block vs. Miami, the loudest I ever heard Lane Stadium.

That Wayne Ward block was the very first play that came to mind.

"Tajh Boyd over the middle . . . and it's caught for an interception! Michael Cole, lying flat on his back, ARE YOU KIDDING???"

In this post, the 2004 play is Eddie Royal's TD vs GT, but in the voting survey, the play is described as "Eddie Royal TD wins ACC" (which was his TD against Miami). I assume we're voting based on the GT TD, right?

Thanks for putting this together - great walk down memory lane! I was fortunate to see all but one of these in person and it brought back a lot of great memories about the celebration in the stands too.

I'm a little old school...

"Take care of the little things and the big things will come."

I don't think these (all) were necessarily the best plays of that time period, but that's such a tough task to narrow down that I am participating in this one.

Any reasoning behind the time frame? I immediately went to the Miracle in Morgantown in 1999 before realizing your time frame.

I assume it's because 16 makes for a nice bracket.

Did the announcer say "God Dammit" after the Davis punt return TD?...

that sounded like Lee Corso....and for all we know he could have dropped something in the booth and the "God Dammit" was unrelated to the game.

Onward and upward

Yeah I figured he wasn't pissed about the game, but still funny to hear that get through.

Nothing like all the "F" bombs dropped while the Lombardi Trophy was being walked up to the podium last night!!!!!!!!!

"Take care of the little things and the big things will come."

I like the play where Bud Foster Sprints down the sideline after the 2008 UVA sack to seal the win.

1) Deathbacker forcing three fumbles on three consecutive plays (or something like that) against.... NCSt? Oh nevermind that was 2009. But that game also had RMFW drag Earl Wolff to the end zone.
2) Macho Harris vs. Clemson but damn that was 2007
3) MV7 run against Boston College but man was that 3rd quarter awesome. Had the Wayne Ward block as well.

Here's a better link for Tyrod to Danny Coale

EDIT:
So I voted and I agree with the majority on everything except Brewer scoop&score, most of you liked Manning. Personally I would go with the Donovan Riley pick six to seal the deal against OSU in 2014 but that's just me.

And for the person who chose Macho's Pick over Tyrod to Danny, you can see yourself out.

I would've voted for Riley's pick-6 over the Miami 2001 punt block, but the punt block vs Brewer wasn't remotely close in my book. That punt block is one of the most memorable plays I've ever seen (out of over 150 Tech games I've attended). On the other hand, I honestly had forgotten about the Brewer play even though it just happened 2 years ago and I was at the game.

Wait... Who is the person that voted from Mexico City?

You put those words together, those are my favorite words, Popeyes and bahama

That would be me.

So we leave Vick off the list to give everyone else a fighting chance?
