A grateful and humble Shayne Graham, the most accurate kicker in Bengals history, announced his retirement Monday to end a career that spanned 15 seasons and 10 teams.
Forever will be remembered by Hokies for that night in Morganhole.

I love that he had such a long and successful NFL career. All the best to him after football, hopefully (and assumedly) he is financially set, and able to pursue whatever career/business/charitable ventures he desires.
Pride of Pulaski County. He had a fantastic career.
Thank you Shayne for the memories
Thanks Shayne

Thanks for posting.
Love that guy. We were going nuts watching that one my Junior year.
That's when I learned that inbred tears are saltier than regular tears.
Good thing I knew the cops from high school or I would have probably been arrested in Morgantown that night. Instead I got an escort to my hotel room and a "good to see you, dont make a habit of it."
When I had Facebook I managed to randomly friend request him and he used to comment on my statuses. Even sent me a couple private messages. It was awesome.
I randomly followed him on instagram because I saw him comment on something AJ Hughes had posted. He followed me back and loves pictures and videos of my kid.
Andy Bitter did a really good interview with Shayne this week. Definitely worth a listen.
That was an excellent podcast. Highly recommend.
Ill never forget the day...it was the first game of the 2001 season for VT and one of my friends was having a party at her house in hunter's ridge. We are all sitting around drinking beers and watching the game. I strike up a conversation with one of the other dudes there that I didn't know and he told me he had graduated. So I ask where he was working. He said he worked for the Seattle Seahawks Organization. I at the time had aspirations of becoming an NFL GM due to my mastery of Franchise Mode for Madden Football. So I thought it was the coolest thing in the world to actually work for an NFL Team. So I then ask what exactly he does for the Seahawks. Everyone in the room is now looking at me and my roommate whispers in my ear "Dawg thats Shayne Graham". I then yell out "You're Shayne Graham! I love you man!"
I love being a Hokie.
I understand that it is sometimes hard to recognize football players because they wear helmets most of the time. But Shayne Graham is the gingeriest mother effer ever. His skin would cause light to bend around him wherever he walked...how do you NOT recognize him?
In some videos of the Miracle, when he's running onto the field, the feed whites out, he's so ginger.
