I think we will have some tight races between Tyrod to Danny, Give it to me Roscoe, and Logan's first down. Though the Logan play isn't safe against the DW4 go ahead vs GT. That was an incredibly electric moment inside the stadium.
Right on the money with the David Wilson return. If you were there when it happened, it was mind blowing.

Nice job of putting this together. We Hokies sure have a lot to be proud of. We have had some really great athletes and some just skin chilling highlights. I am happy to have been around this school and program since 1991.
That Logan vs David Wilson pick was a doozie
Its a crime that 3rd and 31 is matched up against the Nebraska bomb.
before that game, Frank Beamer had never beaten Bobby Bowden or Florida State. A couple seasons prior #5 VT was playing I want to say an unranked FSU in the first ACC Championship Game, and we got curbstomped. Mentally, FSU was in our heads.
That 3rd and 31 by a true freshman QB completely turned that mindset on its head and we smoked them from then on out. It launched the team into a run of some very good seasons culminating in an utter blowout of FSU in the 2010 ACC title game.
But there's no way it beats the Tyrod to Coale bomb.
I am surprised that the David Wilson TD isn't getting more love. That was essentially a walkoff KR TD after GT drove the field to tie. Logan's was awesome, but Wilson's came out of nowhere in a stadium that was completely and utterly deflated at the time.
I don't think I can agree given that we lost to FSU the very next year in 2008. Sure, Tyrod and Glennon both got hurt, but we still lost and the game never felt all that close despite it being a 10 point loss.
I meant we smoked them in that game. Yeah, that next year was disappointing, but we did get to see Greg Boone taking snaps, which was pretty awesome in itself.
Alright, I read it with a different context. I definitely agree with that. With the exception of maybe the 2008 season we had some truly incredible teams from 2007-2010.
As a tangent, that 2008 team is eerily similar to some our teams from 2012-2015. Very little experienced talent, but a solid defense. We beat GT, UNC, and UVA all by only 3 points. That Duke game was an ugly mess, too. Flip 3 of those results and we would've been looking at a likely 7-6 season.
It's definitely a tough call. But Logan's Run was in a game where we were pummeling Miami for the better part of the first half, then they ran all over us in the second half and took the lead, to the point where everyone around me was convinced we were done. GT tying the game late was one thing, but against Miami, things were looking really bad. Then LT drove a dagger into their hearts with a run that no one saw coming. Toss-up as to which play made Lane erupt louder, and I'm so happy I was there for both, but I give the edge to Logan.
Also, as soon as DW4 scored and the elation subsided slightly, I said, "our defense is gassed and they have to come right back out. Crap."
I'm with you; I was pretty confident that our offense could drive down the field and at least get in range for a game-winning field goal against GT. If anything, David Wilson scored too quickly, lol. GT drove down the field and almost scored a TD (you know CPJ would've gone for two and the win). Luckily Roc Carmichael sealed the victory for us.
As for the 2011 game against Miami, I thought we were done. But Logan's drive gave me hope and then it was 4th and 1. I thought for sure we'd run a QB sneak with Logan but he was lined up in the shotgun! I wanted to look away but I couldn't. The fact that Logan not only picked up the first down but then scored a touchdown was un-freakin' believable! So I also give the edge to Logan.
Personally, I thought David Wilson's return was the better individual play, but the pandemonium that followed Logan's touchdown run with Enter Sandman and Mike Patrick and Tyrod nodding along in approval (see my avi), etc. is what will set LT's touchdown apart in this vote
Oh, and one other thing....
Green blocked it, Manning scored. I want to say Green broke his arm in the act of the block.

Think i'm going with David Wilson, but it's close. I just think that it was such a huge play at a time we needed it. Logan's was obviously a game winner, but
it was also 3rd and 1 andafter getting just a 1st down they would still have a minute to go 20 yards.***Nothing against that play!! just have to try and justify a vote somehow***
My 2 favorites are matched up, the 200 and 2001 plays.
It was 4th and 1, which was why it was so terrifying. And I have to admit I was dreading the possibility of us running the exact play we ran and LT getting stuffed for a loss, but it worked to perfection
That was literally the best fake hand off I've ever seen. Logan sold it to perfection and Miami bit HARD on David Wilson. Literally untouched up the middle for 6. Was in the NEZ right in front of that play when it happened.
Great point, my fault. One of my favorite plays ever for VT, no doubt. Just trying to weigh those 2 plays is too hard.

Yes, I love BOTH plays. BOTH plays made me jump around the house.
But Logan's Run was pretty much the perfect thing that happened.
It should be Logan's Run vs. Tyrod to Coale in the final. That's when I'll really start to sweat. However...
