#Hokies announce sophomore forward Chris Clarke will miss the rest of the season with the left knee injury he suffered against Virginia.— Mike Barber (@RTD_MikeBarber) February 13, 2017
There it is. Sigh. Torn ACL, so most likely not ready for the start of next season either. Redshirt him and get a lot more of NAW?

fuck.
.....only I didn't say fudge. Never more relevant than now unfortunately
Hopefully won't kill our tourney chances with a late season dive, and somebody else really steps up - need Bibbs and Hill to start creating. Hate it for him and us. Huge blow on top of losing Blackshear early. Hope he gets back to 100% for crunch time next year, and we can build on a tourney visit this year with a deep run next, but don't see the run this year without him.
Get well soon Clarke. Must be brutal for him. Really big hit for the team as well.
So, I guess 5 guards on the floor is likely to be a part of the game plan now.
Team just can't catch a break. Hill last year, Blackshear this year, now Clarke probably next year too.
Hamilton this year as well
DAMMIT! DAMMIT! DAMMIT!
Edit: for real though: get well soon, dude.
Man this sucks for him. And this leaves with what? A 7 man rotation?
7 scholarship and 9 total. Galloway and Donlon likely to see more time now.
WHY THE FUCK CAN'T WE HAVE NICE THINGS??!!!
This screws up this year and next. Likely out thru Dec, where Buzz may redshirt him. He was a critical piece to replace LeDay.
Even by VT hoops standards , this is wickedly unfair.
There's a chance he could be back for ACC play next season. I'll hold out hope for that at least.
I hate it for him more than anything. I just hope he can make a full recovery. Guys who rely so heavily on their athleticism like Clarke can be more affected by ACL injuries than even top football players, even with advances in sports medicine and rehabilitation.
