Another Hokie joins an NFL squad! Pittsburgh signed former Hokie TE Ryan Malleck this afternoon. Good to see Ryan join the Killer Bees! GO GET EM MR MALLECK!
The Steelers continued their offseason signings on Wednesday, as the team announced the acquisition of tight end Ryan Malleck. The 6'5, 252-pound Malleck broke into the NFL with the Giants last season after going undrafted.
During his collegiate career at Virginia Tech, Malleck caught 62 passes for 658 yards and four touchdowns.

Bring the hammer, Malleck.
So he'll be the 3rd stringer to start with (at best?). Hope he works his ass off and makes the team, the Steelers usually do a great job in identifying talent so they must see something they like (obviously).
So awesome. Was real bummed when he got injured last season.
Seems to have a lot of potential as a pro TE.
Agreed, he almost seems like the prototypical TE. Big guy who can block. Not necessarily fast but gets receptions with good hands. Exactly what you want from a TE, but not anything more than that.
Don't care how many Hokies they sign, still have to say fawk the steelers. that aside Congrats Ryan
