Someone could cut and paste the last game writeup here for a quick summary. Big and athletic. Score a ton of points. 92 against Boston College in first round. Hopefully the fouls more even out so Wake doesnt have a 16 shot advantage. Tough to call on neutral court. Wake has advantage. Tech will need breaks to go their way tonight to pull this one out. Tech wins 95-92 in OT.

Since we're a lock for the NCAA tournament (I know, I know), do we really gain anything from making a run in the ACC tournament? I don't think winning this game and then losing the next one will do much in terms of seeding, so unless we get to the semis, our seed probably won't be affected much one way or the other (please correct me if I'm wrong).
It wouldn't be the worst thing if we lose this game and save our energy for the big tournament, would it?
I've heard from several sources that Lute Olsen (Arizona legend) wanted his team to "try" but he wasn't too broken up about losing in the early round of the Pac-10 tournament.
I think we definitely need to win tonight. Don't want to go into the tourney riding a 2 game losing streak against Wake Forest. And the tournament doesn't start for 8 days, so we have plenty of time to rest before the round of 64
I want to outlast LOLUVA in the ACC and NCAA tournaments. So yeah, other than that I guess we could bow out early and it wouldn't be a big deal.

Oh absolutely. If we are hitting our shots we are up 7-10 at halftime. Taking way way too many poor shots tonight and we're paying for it. And don't get me started on the defending. LeDay is doing well against Collins but it's pretty sketchy everywhere else.

Jesus twice now the Hokie player has just been run over and Wake gets the call. Also really thought that ESPN would have better announcers than this. Called Tech "GT", and people on twitter said they talked about Allen and LeDay coming off the bench as a punishment.

Two things working in Tech's favor to stay in the tournament. Not a huge amount of smaller conferences going to get multi bids and many of the other bubble teams are losing early in the bigger conferences, including the ACC with Clemson and Syracuse already done.

I just put together why UVA fans love the style of play of their basketball team. Not that there's anything wrong with gritty defensive basketball, but it plays into how they pay attention to sports. I myself don't necessarily mind the tournament being in Brooklyn, and for most of his coaching tenure at Cuse, he's been playing in a conference tournament in New York. I get that. But he doesn't have to dump on Greensboro in return.
I would prefer a rotation between a few different cities - keep it going between some of the other cities it's been in the past few years like Atlanta and DC; maybe NYC is a stretch. Also, after having gone to a few of these things with the band, if you wanna be in NC, why not Charlotte instead of Greensboro?

Well none of it matters for cities in NC unless the NCAA changes their position about no championship tournaments in NC because of laws there. Until then it will be anywhere but NC.
Little known fact: ACC fencing championships were held at Duke as scheduled this year. Probably because it's a little known fact.
Well it's good to know the ACC is standing it's ground when it comes to the really important sports.
All championships that are hosted on campus in NC will remain that way for what is currently scheduled. All neutral site championships have been moved out of the state and will not return until the law is overturned.

It flamed out before it had a chance because while it was described as a repeal, the language in it made it so that the bill would still essentially be there, just not in HB2 form.
The "compromise" was essentially a "fine, we'll repeal it, but it won't actually stop being enforced for 3 years, at which point we'll determine whether or not we want to stop enforcing it... but hey, its a repeal!". Opponents of the law saw right through it.
